Why India is not a superpower

Kiddo, USA will remain 14,000,000,000, it's not me who's saying it, it's the World Bank.

The stats you are telling me is wrong. Pakistan will not be 1.10 trillion economy. Look at this link Next Eleven - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Our economic worth will be 3.10 trillion bigger than Phillipines and Vietnam. And it's not me who is saying this, it's Goldman Sachs, the same guy who invented BRICS.

So? It's only because of PPP government that we have had such sow growth, whole world regards us as top reformers and country that can get out of instability.

Keep your lies to yourself.

lol it has been 10 yrs since n11 was formed and u know whose the worst performer of all aka pakistan and then egypt. Indonesia, bangladesh, Iran, Mexico,Philippines,South Korea, and Vietnam are all growing at over 6% with south korea leading the hole block. pakistan has the largest population of all but growing the slowest 2.2%. india is second fastest economy and is on the right path to achieve the predictions.

pakistan is not and prolly never be for nxt 10 yrss soo keep dreaming. ur political instability come and go like seasons.

Bankrupt?? We have $18 trillion in federal reserves.

still u say ur poor. i am sure u have 2 lambhorgini in ur garage

Kiddo, Pakistan and Vietnam are not the worst in N11. Bangladesh is. Actually the order is South Korea, Indonesia, Mexico, Turkey, Pakistan, and then the rest.

What is your point of being formed for 10 years? BRIC was formed a long time also.

Kiddo, Pakistan is only growing 2.2% for 4 years, after PPP gets out we will achieve 8% growth again. And Iran is growing at 2% growth also.

Wtf are you talking about... Your grammar is really hard to understand...

And in 2050 the per capita rate will be 11,000 of Pakistan and 20,000 of India. Very sad that India will have 36,000,000,000 economy but only have 20,000 per capita. :azn:

Not unlike North Korea, India is engaged in a massive arms buildup while almost half of its children are near starvation. A nation-state like India that fails to take care of 46% its children's basic nutrition needs has to be a failed state. In fact, George Friedman of Strafor raises serious doubts about India's viability as a modern nation-state, and dismisses the talk of its emergence as one of the great powers of the 21st century. Friedman does not accept that any of the four BRIC nations (Brazil, Russia, India and China) will achieve great world power status in this century. Instead, he believes that Turkey, Poland and Japan will join the United States as the most important world powers in the next 50 years.

The reality of the failure of Indian state is as obvious as daylight. The Indian state's abject failures in delivering bare minimum services to its people, and its inability to solve India's basic problems are there for everyone to see.

Conventional Western understanding about modern India has recognized a degree of political instability, and the persistence of armed insurgencies in the country’s Northeast and Northwest regions. However, there has only been a slight awareness of the rural insurgencies and challenges to the state’s writ in the heartland of India. These have rarely been seen by outsiders as a systemic challenge to the dominant narrative of a democratic society engaged in economic and social development. The recent trajectory of India’s economic development has created an optimistic narrative that rarely includes discussion of internal instability. While there is focus on a small section of the urban elite, not much attention has been given to growing rural poverty, mass farmers' suicides and increasing rich-poor gap. Meanwhile, Maoists have gained significant momentum in rural India.

Haq's Musings: Are India and Pakistan Failed States?

How are we less stable than South Korea? Not ONE South Korean president has not been exiled, sentenced to death, assassinated or overthrown in a coup.

nationalism is a good thing but blind nationalism without even realizing facts is not.
the links ur showing i have been following that stuff for last 4 yrs since i was in class 9. dw u dont need to educate me.

bangladesh and vietnam is actually starting to have a economic boom. pakistan achieving a 8% growth in 2020 with stability is understandable but not anytime soon. india has defeated ur goldman's predictions. in 2003 report india was expected to be 1.83 trillion economy by 2020. but look we r already past 2 trillion and could be over 5 trillion by 2020. same thing with china.

but how pak performed from 2003 to 2012 apart from terrorist attacks, wars etc ?
