Why India has been forced into defensive posture against Pakistan (explaination thread)

Let's see it this way..

1) Pakistan will have good relations with Afghanistan and the little rocks in the way will be kicked off one by one over time. ( That's why I insisted Pakistan posture with the Taliban government is for the long run and not get frustrated when Pakistan sends some aid which Afghanistan is desperately in need off, see the bigger picture when Pakistan advocates for International relief for Afghanistan and not just get twisted in some libtards panties which are sore since saleh was kicked out). Maybe it will take 2 years may be 5 but we will get there hopefully.
Before all of this when Indian poodles were running Afghanistan with the support of the US, had it not been for the Taliban resistance Pakistan would be very vunerable on both of its longest borders.

2) During last couple of years China and Pakistan relations at a strategic level has consolidated significantly owning both in part to India flawed foreign policy and military gymnastics.
With the recent purchases the developing interoperability between the 2 forces.

There is a reason why India focus has shifted again to BLA etc proxies and Iran and with time we will sort that out too.

.
Pakistan should occupy a buffer zone in Afghanistan, just like Turkey has done so in Syria, so as to use it both for preventing attacks from Afghanistan and also to use it as strategic depth.

No.. you make defense treaty with them instead and voila solved.. otherwise it would be suicidal:lol: ''Don't try that at home''

IEA is not Assad, Syria or SDF if Turkey bordered them it wouldn't go down that path with them... All of Turkeys army could get vanqueshed in Afg within 3yrs time the terrain is savage against logistics.. The main reason US and soviets failed is solely due to logistics there are vast expense places in the country you can't reach..

Sensible post.

If anything has forced them to get even slightly defensive vs. us, it's their two front issue with China. Otherwise, I have to say, we are the ones now pushing for talks and a peace process. The whole Feb27 story is another thing, they had delusions that were quickly erased.

Also, I don't understand the strategic depth thing. What strategic depth does Afghanistan offer us at this stage or at any time in history? We are their strategic depth, when an invader comes they run off to KPK and Balochistan and from there they bounce back. We have no equivalent. Sure, if India were to invade us, maybe that depth will be a thing, but it's already game over for the subcontinent long before that option is exercised.

The original premise of this thread is highly erroneous. India has been on the offensive against Pakistan constantly ever since 1947.

Pakistan used to pay India in kind but has significantly rolled back its response since 9/11. That was the mushy doctrine and it has been in place since that then. Not only did Mushy make the whole nation passive hijrays, but also managed to put bengals on the wrists of the military men.

Remember the purge of the "beardos" from the military on the orders of this yankee masters. Now, you've been reaping the dividends of Mushy's moderate enlightenment, Pakistan, nay secularism first Bull$h!t.

India has largely been quite and will remain to do so as long as Pakistan has significiant stragetic depth and it has something to do with military tactics on the ground..

1. India's long term stragetic planning was based on their believe that they can overwhelm pakistan and this is where previously assumed confidence came from but Pakistan developed a counter-measure against that which is tactical nukes balancing things this has forced the indians into 51 years of sitting tight but still not in defensive posture because still at the back of their head they had a conventional advantage to some degree and they didn't want all out war as they were deterred by tactical nukes and nukes..

2. But come 2021 they no longer believe there is conventional advantage in their calculus due to stragetic depth in Afg and both Afg-pak is an extremely harsh terrain to move any logistics in hence if you remove nukes out of the picture India losses conventionally the conflict and that is if they have offensive posture they will absolutely lose in these mountains and could lose their entire army within months in such offensive posture miscalculation..

3. Hence their military calculus and posturing is defense tactically and forcing the indians to exit there none first use policy and for the first time in their history using nukes as deterence and this change happened as soon as pakistan got stragetic depth last year..
Presently, Pakistan government is kn backfoot..

Modi is where where he was... No calls and no talk... I will do whatever I want d
To do..

Dare u to jump off a cliff head first, my little Pakistani😉

oh yes--- i go to dubai, i see you little indians standing outside clubs, doing nothing , just looking at girls..

working as clerical slaves for the arabs

you just dont have the minerals in you , little indian .. chinese baton slapped your army and showed the world who you are :_ )

Dare u to jump o
Glad to know that you are equating crossing the LOC to jumping off the cliff head first.
Correct analogy about crossing the LOC. That's what we say, it would be like India jumping off the cliff head first. :cheesy: :cheesy:

You are just a layman.. Everything is functional over there you don't need to move much except instillations, under ground-tunnels fortifications and ability to move divisions quickly on the otherside of the border..
I'm sorry but the fact of the matter is that the army or FC by proxy is getting hammered in Balochistan by a couple of insurgents with light weapons.

There is no defensive posture as such - India has already upped the ante in the many other fronts it has available to it which outnumber those available to Pakistan by 10 to 1.
Pakistan has only shored up one front in Afghanistan but is vulnerable from:

1. Iran & Afghanistan hosted militant cells which operate in and out of Afghanistan and retreat to Iran when Pakistan tries to run ops against them

2. Joint coordination with a neighbor, GCC state and current and former superpower along with European states in spreading sectarian and ethnic divisions within Pakistan including close (personal cellular number level) ties with PPP, MQM, JuI(F), ANP, PTM and various religious leadership. Meetings are held regularly both overseas and at times in lower terms in embassies. Pakistani agencies generally arent able to counter these effectively due to political power of the Indian assets.

3. Social media based relationships with various groups both on the "liberal" side but more so on the extremist/ ethnic side in spreading false news. Compounded by what is essentially a majority of illiterate and /or ignorant people happy to accept and forward anything.

4. Joint coordination with a neighbor, GCC state and current and former superpower along with European states in boxing in Pakistan's economic assistance and growth options along with researching and promoting sanctions of any dual use technology for Pakistan. Direct and effective surveillance of Pakistani diplomats, foreign office officials and businessmen to prevent their objectives being met or try to subvert them into assets. India has struggled previously but has recently resorted to offerring citizenship/monetary assets of western countries by coordination and is yielding results.

5. Same coordination at the UN and other international venues to keep pushing Pakistan at the end of North Korea - the recent 1971 Genocide "resurfacing" isnt a futile effort and its fruits will be seen next year.

So, "Defensive" my foot.

First of All India gives zero charity to pakistan since its creation Nothing, zero, nada etc etc... This is dog eat dog world.. They are in defense posture as they will get punched in the face if exited and same goes to Pakistan they will get punched in the face.. There is no charity here whatsoever.. Deterence is gained thru strength..

You have tried to give reason as to why they are not by coming with off-topic stories such as collaboration with GCC:lol: And India having good relations with GCC is not harmful to Pakistan as they are a long time ally with defense treaty in place..

Pakistan has weirdly grown in technology because pakistan has access to the two markets that are growing most in defense namely Turkey and China besides US doesn't sell tech to India in fear of agitating Pakistan and to avoid them selling nuke secrets.. They are careful around India..

India simply is in defense posture due to tactics they will never overcome us in af-pak territory logistically not feasible but we can overcome them logistically on their soil as it is feasible to advance hence they will be in defensive posture to make it not feasible because we have terrain but they will defend with men..
