Why dont India play China's own game. Give missiles and sophisticated arms to taiwan.

Actually if India and Taiwan do the same what we and china are doing like weapons sales and JVs then Taiwan will be in great trouble. Taiwan don\'t want to wait 25 years just for one Aircraft......

mjnaushad ji, Lca has been effected because of lack of funds and sanctions. So it didnot take full 25 years for completion. Btw,what do u think is the average time to build a fighter jet right from scratch? Can u tell me the time taken by the USA to build it\'s fighter\'s engine?

there is something called as human values and they do deserve free rights.

Not sure if you read the article at all....All he is saying is that we are ahead of China in ABM capability....In fact he is saying

Addressing media here, Saraswat said: "This is one area we are ahead of the Chinese."

In other words he acknowledge that we are behind them in other aspects but ABM....Now what you don't agree with???

B/W that would be a big mistake

- First of all we don't even consider them as a separate nation. We support One China theory
- Secondly i do not see any benefit in arming Taiwan when US is already taking care of it...
- Thirdly what's the point in creating unnecessary attention without having good enough returns??? In short not getting enough buck for money...
- Fourthly this would ire China which would mean even more support for Pak and risk all work put in to normalize relations....

Before we continue with any bullshit,lets find answers to a few questions.

Will Taiwan ever move closer to India while we still follow the "One China" policy?

Do we really have a strong Anti-Mainland political stand for Taiwan to notice us?We seem to agree with China on most of the issues like Climate change,Doha talks,Tibet issue etc.

What military technology does India have to offer to Taiwan,which the Americans can't?

The only thing Taiwan might be interested in India is nukes,But can we really provide them especially when both China and USA don't want that to happen as it will create an Nuclear arms race in that region.

Currently we are doing fine with Taiwan by improving economic and trade relations.(I love my HTC phone)

I'd prefer India-China relations over Indo-Taiwanese relations.
