Why David Cameron apologising for Raj won’t mean much to India

.
I don't want Apology or aptly saying hollow words. Make a good partnership with us and support us in International Arena.

We have moved on, we learned to fight even the most powerful nation in the world, we learned your strength and gone ahead on those aspects and we establish ourselves as an Independent country whose strings are not attached to anyone's fingers but ourselves.

US moved on, we moved on, its time you also move on and don't dwell in past. Our effort is to become a better and stronger nation, you can give your helping hand in it.
Agreed. It is not wise just to look the past. Move on. Today and tomorrow are far more important for the life of people. Actually relationship between nations bases on egoistic interests. So nobody should wonder why politicians say so and so.

As one British diplomat said at the last century: "We have no permanent friends, only permanent interests."

Maybe the surviving 80+ great-grandfathers and great-grandmothers from your side should start by apologizing to our 80+ great-grandfathers and great-grandmothers. And we can then move on from there.

And in reverse......

And what are these cases?

From India to Pakistan:

For intervention in Bangladesh before December 1971, through Indian military personnel;
For the Atlantique Incident;

From Pakistan to India:

Whatever Pakistan did that was not something she would have wished to have done to her.

:) i always feel the entire world owe an apology to each other. But the issue is that it will work only if it stops repeating the mistake which is not the case again.

so better move on and no one should bring in the facesaving demand selectively

2. And you guys ignored the infrastructure part and by education i did not mean that TN was not having one at all.

Its also a reality the modern education progressed in India under Brit raj

Yes, I agree with the infrastucture part.. Eventhough they built it for their uses, it is still very useful to us..

By Modern Education you mean learning English, then I agree with you..

They started teaching English in schools so that administrative work of theirs go smoothly..

You specifically mentioned Tamil Nadu as if they didn't had any education..

You have to know that, India knew how to do surgeries before the Europeans or any Westerners..

I am not a history expert.. But I do think India was in very good posisation before the Europeans came..
