Here is a picture i found, for comparison purposes.

This is the Type 071 LPD of the People's Liberation Army Navy:

The Type 071 LPD exterior look very solid and smooth in one piece with no dents.

the "dent" are on every ship, in every navy. you can see it better in some pictures than others. again there is nothing wrong with it, its just the nature of ships. basically take a pic in HDR at dawn/dusk and the "dent" will show really well no matter what ship we are talking about.

Its a resupply ship, not a patrol ship.... duh. THey have nothing in comming with the Japanese or US patrol ships mentioned, which depend on navy resupply ships.
