What made IAF Stand down in Kargil

It was a part of the reason, yes. Also, more Indians ended up dying anyway and Pakistan managed to secure point 5353 too. He caught India at the throat, made it beg for us to leave as your military proved incompetent like usual.

As for the Siachen post, I could say the same. You are ignoring the parts where you weren't explicit.

I really want what you are smoking! A general who sends soldiers to their deaths. I would suggest, letting this point rest. Please do go through the inane number of discussion on this forum for the Kargil fiasco. The more you rake this up, the more it will end up like our Siachen discussion where now, you agree you are not anywhere on Siachen. Read up on the topic by Pakistani analysts, including Pakistani army personnel on what a disaster Kargil was for Pakistan.

On the Siachen post, please point out in which part I was not being explicit.

Yup considering the volatile situation in East Pakistan, separated from main West of the country by a thousand miles of Indian territory. only an Indian TT would have the brilliance to term it home turf..

Who made west "main"? Wasn't East "Pakistan" as much Pakistani as the West? You can slither as much as you want, it was your country with the bigger chunk of population, and it capitulated within 14 days. So yeah you can blabber as much as you want with some obscure hit you might have got, the result was the largest Unilateral surrender since WWII.

Couldn't have asked for a better payback.
Ditto! :toast_sign:

It doesn't matter what some people say, what matters is what actually happened.
And who would know better than the commanding ACM?

That's what I meant, we are present on the lower slopes. You claimed we had no presence in the region as a whole.

Incorrect. You are present west of Saltoro.

Siachen Glacier is between Saltoro (Western) and Karakoram in a triangular shaped space.

Nearest point you are at is 2 kms due north west of Bana LP Post, (the old Qaid post of yours), due south-south-west. Google up.

The glacier is the outflow of Bila Fond La glacier.

In all

Who cares? You lost East Pakistan. Mission accomplished. :flame:

The same applied to East, the West was also a part of their country much larger in landmass however Sheikh Mujib wasn't happy with the Capital, State Bank and Naval HQ being in the West and wanted to shift all to East, nothing wrong with that I hear you say, well come next election and say PPP wins and then wants to shift all back to West, thus every five years you have political parties playing musical chairs with the country's set up.
@ topic, The slimy characters that you are, on your own, you couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, even with superior forces, you needed Mukitis to fight with you, just like in Kargil, US and Israel came to save your neck but on your own, we all saw what happened in 2002 and 2008 and the subject at hand, your four times large air force fearing a bloody nose had to stand down.....and the irony, it was the former Pakistani PM who saved your backside by giving up on Khalistsanis, else you wouldn't be so chirpy now....would you. !!!

who cares how we did it man! bottom line is it happened. And you chaps surrendered. Enough has been said by Pakistani commentators on the topic of Kargil and how brilliantly things progressed for you.

Pakistani PM gave up on Khalistanis. Yea...typical Pak strategy. Jump into something and then run back. We jumped into East Pakistan. Results were quite different. You again jumped into Afghanistan and then ran out with the American warning!:flame:

If your going to be a rude twat, this conversation is over you swine.

So no answer! Typical strategy when caught napping on facts.

I have an answer, but not for rude people like yourself.

Yeah, you just gave a link to what I said. The difference is, I don't need the link, I can tell you the area.;)

Anyways, just wanted to point out .. see you around

The link also says what I said.

Sure, East Pakistanis were pissed off for nothing.

irrespective of your worthless pandering, all of your military doctrine's have worked out brilliantly. Look up what ACM Nur Khan, or his Predecessor had to say about these brilliant strategies. Your "security of east lies in the west" to propping of the "start up industry for terrorst inc", all have blown up in your face.

You had no answer on Siachen. Though, you thought you had. And were found out. You have no answers on Kargil. Facts are not your forte. Stick to false propaganda.

My suggestion, read up the huge repository on information on both topics available on this very forum before starting off to pass fiction as facts.

The answer for the topic of the thread is as under:

1. The Economic State of India in 90s. Due to defence outlay only being catered for revenue expenditure and no capital expenses were catered for since 1991, the Indian Army bore the brunt of impact of cash crunch on war preparedness, hence scope to extend war to other theaters was curtailed. The requirements were met on emergent requirements as the conflict unfolded in Kargil.

2. The pragmatic and sensible diplomatic maneuvering as also the political deftness of Vajpayee, whose astute and sensible leadership used the above condition to easily work to counter and subsequently change the US Kashmir policy by exhibiting the willingness to undertake limited offensive operations over extended time frame while strictly adhering to the sanctity of LOC (erstwhile CFL as named after Shimla Agreement). This served the additional purpose of reaffirming all talks on Kashmir to only be held on a bilateral basis vide Shimla Agreement, something reiterated by UN General Secretary even in his letter to Nawaz Sharif on which our friends have made a thread claiming UN intervention. This has sidelined the UN and its resolutions effectively in the said conflict.

Any other contention is and will be merely a figment of imagination as also the proverbial 'hot air'!

Yes yes. Typical answer since no answer.

You were caught with zero knowledge about the Siachen glacier. The same is on display for everybody on the Kargil conflict. Selective answering is a often seen response of Pakistanis on both Siachen and Kargil

Enjoy.
