Well, my grandfather was from a village near Pakistani Gujrat, by grandmother migrated from Rajauri district to Kotli. My father is a bit Kashmiri and a bit Punjabi.

I was born in Islamabad, and I consider myself to be Punjabi and can speak both Punjabi and Pahari.

Don't take this personally, but the correct phrasing is 'by' a grandfather who was from a village near Pakistani Gujarat, 'from' a grandmother who migrated from Rajauri district to Kotli.

There is a different set of terms used for other species, which, used for humans, sounds faintly 'wrong', and might cause offense to the uninitiated.

lol wut...Seriously ..:what:...Turkish Jew ---> Hindu ?!

Not that tough to comprehend, is it ?

Before Islam, Those areas were either Hindus or Zoroastrian.

Also, My ancestry long ago had Hybrid of Jewish and Hindu.

 I was thinking same. Specially when in Hinduism you cannot convert. Though I think its not good.

Itna simplistic nahin sochte bhai. :)

Things are very complex in this world. Suppose you marry a christian or muslim being a hindu, what wud ur children be? :)

And what wud ur great grand children and great great grand children be ? Even you wud be confused rite ? And again dont default it by the assumption that whatever will be father's religion will be the decendants religions. ITs not true always. :)

What's that again?

whatever they want to be, I suppose. What would be the problem?

Marathi from my fathers side
Bengali from my mothers side

Aaaaah. No wonder. Remind me never to get into an argument with you.

Tamizhan is the proper way you say Tamilian.....the 'l' sound is actually a 'zh' sound when said in Tamizh (Tamil).

Is there 'zh' letter in tamil as in malyalam ?

Which is the correct term ---- Tamil or Tamizh ???

Exactly. :)

But that wont take aways the ancestral aspect rite? Suppose they choose Islam, it wont take away the hindu roots. Rite ?
