Here's a contrary opinion.

There are mostly no good best capital cities anywhere in the world, especially in South Asia.

They all have the stink of power, of political arrogance, where who you know is a reflection of who you are.

Where your worth is determined by the bureaucrat or politician you know, or claim to know. Even the people on the streets are a little more discourteous, a little more pompous.

From that perspective, Washington DC sucks. New Delhi sucks. And I am sure, from that perspective also, Islamabad, Colombo and Dhaka also suck.
