What can Pakistan learn from Bangladesh?

View attachment 600084

It's a starting point to all things.

A poverty stricken nation is powerless.
You are mistaken and as expected fast to judge.
Economy is indeed important but not everything.Your economy alone cant save you from your intrinsic problems you inherited as a nation and those factors are internal as well as external. It really limits the potential clout of Bangladeshi people and i feel bad about it. Sorry to be blunt i wish Bangladesh well but this is my PoV.
You will become Japan economically but you will have to hand over the most important affairs of your state to an outsider in order to maintain progress of course unless miracles happens .

I agree with what you are saying in principle.

But let me ask you.

What could Bangladesh really do if it were as poor as it has been since its inception?

With better finances comes options.

Whether in one's personal life or on the geopolitical stage.

Case in point.....India.

The world could give 2 sh*ts about Kashmir......why?

Economic clout.

Your PM has said as much.

Yea, certain things have been compromised to achieve the stability of a Hasina governement.

And true, the long term ramifications are concerning if not addressed.

But again, its a starting point.

Also, don't be so quick to assume anything.

Without independence and a strong ideology, states are subject to the whims of others.

Add BD to same category as Indian Muslims. There will be many "I told you so"s to go around for them. By that time it will be too little, too late.

If they think India will allow them to exist in this current form, they are mistaken. RSS warfare is on their borders and will envelope them.

They won't have any Pakistan to help them against Hindu red tide.

Pakistani politics and economy is in a state of flux and reorganization, CPEC and Afghanistan are just two of the optimistic realities for Pakistan.

Those who misjudge Pakistan and try to take advantage always suffer the consequences. Both Soviets and Americans have seen it.

India and its proxies will suffer an even worse fate.

Let them make themselves deaf by shouting slogans against Pakistan, it matters not, Allah swt is the only assurance a momin, ghazi needs.

You seem to think Allah swt plays favorites.

Your previous leaders don't seem to be all that God fearing at best or at least ethical at worst.

So whats the criteria to win divine favor?

We know what it is of course.

So then let it be.

The reality is both Pakistan and Bangladesh has warts, in its past, present and future.

So get off the high horse playboy.

.
If India becomes increasingly hostile In the future, and Bangladesh economy goes into 1 trillion mark, then Bangladesh will have different options and nukes may be on of them options.

I doubt nukes will ever be in the cards.

But think about it.

A nation of 160 million with an up and coming economy.

That's about half the population of the US.

And heavily underdeveloped at that.

The potential is enormous.

.
I doubt nukes will ever be in the cards.

I feel like in case of Bangladesh and India, nukes are going to be a useless burden instead of providing any useful deterrence.

Possessing nukes will put us through sanctions and ruin our economy. Rather a strong conventional military will not only create the required level of deterrence but also keep our image intact.

Secondly, neither India nor Bangladesh can use nukes without the nuclear fallout affecting their own citizens. So it is a lose lose situation.

For Bangladesh, a strong economy and a strong conventional military is the way to go.

Sorry for going off topic.

Does Allah swt ask us to be perfect before we aspire to please Him?

Yes, Pakistan has many imperfections, we have betrayed the Islamic cause at times (usury for example,) but mostly this nation's heart and soul is in the correct place.

Out of all Muslim nations, Pakistan is the only one founded on Islam, not on any race, ethnicity, or language. This alone has showered constant blessings on our state.

In the region of the subcontinent, it is Pakistan alone which can claim successorship to the great Muslim empires of the Dilli Sultanat, Ghaznavis, Ghoris, Mughals, and Durranis.

It is this state which benefitted from the past 400 years of Islamic golden age of the subcontinent and whose national thinker is a personality such as Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

This is one nation which sends shivers in the enemies of Islam hiding in their homes from Tel Aviv to New Delhi, and even in Washington DC.

Why did Allah swt choose from all Muslim nations only one to empower it with nuclear weapons, why did he choose to make PAF its top aerial power, and the Pakistani military its top ground force?

Some (like BD members here) look at the misfortune of Pakistan and laugh and mock us, but this is nothing new.

USSR and USA have looked at us with similar contempt, where are they now? Iran and Gulf Arabs have similarly betrayed Pakistan, look now to where they are heading? What is the lot of Indian Muslims who used to curse Pakistan to please Hindus?

Anyone who looks at Pakistan with the evil eye, will have that eye gouged out.

It is not our khoobi (goodness,) but the khoobi of Allah swt to bless those loyal to Him. It is the duas of our pious nation and the blessings of our ancestors' piety.

Not to mention hadith of Sahih Muslim mentioning the importance of Pakistan before the Endtimes. Khorasaan army which will support Imam Mahdhi will come from this area (Pakistan and Afghanistan) after conquering and capturing the king's of India (signifying the fracture of India into multiple states.)

Than again, location and viewing distance is everything. Brothers and sisters of BD are too far away and too isolated in geography, politics, media, contacts, and historical reality to understand Pakistan, its importance in Islamic history, world geopolitics, and the future.

That is ok, we don't expect everyone to have the perception which we have.

If India becomes increasingly hostile In the future, and Bangladesh economy goes into 1 trillion mark, then Bangladesh will have different options and nukes may be on of them options.

India will not let you get there. They have already declared war on BD. Their propaganda should make it obvious.

The question is, will you realize this before it is too late?

I doubt nukes will ever be in the cards.

Libya thought the same.

Libya thought the same.

I don’t think BD people here mock Pakistan.

And I certainly don’t.

Infact I hope Pakistan does well in the future in all regards and applaud and respect the burden it has shouldered in countering India, especially in the recent past.

What I object to is the constant and recurrent slights towards Bangladeshis in regards to their identity, religion, politics or any semblance of economic progress.

I see this time and time and time again on PDF.

It may be that the average Pakistani’s heart and soul is in the correct place.

But who is to say that isn’t the case for the average Bangladeshi.

Our leaders oftentimes are not a representation on the common man.

I challenge you to scroll down ANY thread and tell me the initial provocation is by a Bangladeshi.

More often than not it starts of as a smart a33/derogatory comment by a Pakistani.

And then the thread degenerates from there.

In any case, time will tell the destinies of the two nations.

But we BOTH have a lot of work to do.

You and I had this discussion a long time ago, but it is absolutely the Bengali provocateurs who bring out the ugly business here.

Pakistanis almost never mention Bangladesh, we know they kind of exist somewhere but don't rally care much.

Bengali posters however want to push the victim narrative.

One poster previously was implying that Pakistan should have been a super power because of Bengali Jute!
Seriously, that is how deluded you people are.
You think that Pakistan robbed you of your "wealth" which was basically jute and now we should be a super power because of it.

Interestingly, no mention of the investments made into Bangladesh by Pakistan like infrastructure, institutions, etc etc.

For me, the most insane part of all this is that the British colonized you people for 400 years (longest in all of South Asia), were responsible for multiple famines that killed like 1/3 of you population yet the visceral hatred only exists for Pakistan.

You can see the visceral hatred right here in this thread.

This thread is a provocation and it doesn't help that OP constantly mocks Pakistan, even you have done it.

Our line is that the two are incomparable.

I don't have any hate for BD, actually my opinion of BD people is very high. This is because I know many from Tableeghi Jamaat, which BD people are very active in.

I have hate for any government which supports policies against my country though, Hasina is one of the biggest who blames Pakistan for every stubbed toe.

We have different narratives and different national identities, and a very different religious mindset, let's accept it and just move on.

Finally, your government is an enemy of my country, nothing will change that except losing Hasina's head. Normal BD people do not have to get offended if we criticize their government's anti-Islamic alliance with the Kuffar lynch mob state, RSS India.

Find me ONE instance I have mocked Pakistan.

I know my position on things very well.

Everything I have posted is factual.

As for Hasina, I hate her M.O.

But it is what it is.

Most of my friends growing up are Pakistani and I am aware of our similarities and differences.

I would actually say ones worldview is shaped more by their religious awareness than their nationality.

Liberal/secular types no matter what their national and ethnic origin are remarkably similar and in the same token so are Islamically minded individuals.

Still there are of course differences.

As for my personal stance I have been and continue to be strongly a proponent and supporter of Pakistan and a unified Islamic identity.

It pains me to see the rampant stupidity and myopathy present in the Muslim world and amongst Muslims.

Anyways, just a rant after a tough few days.

Bangladesh has limited options, the best thing to happen is if they find a big oil reserve somewhere in their EEZ..The policy for them is to wait and watch.Bangladesh is a country made for Bengali speaking people so i dont see it expand beyond Indian bengal and Arkhane state through soft power , but via fire power?that will only happen if time allows.
