Hmmm, interesting decision considering all the sanction-prone history of relations between Pakistan and western states, it's surprising that we'd want a chopper that is prone to sanctions.



TOT? the chopper has US made engines and European avionics, those countries aren't even willing for TOT (Transfer of Technology) to Pakistan.

If you look at the JF-17 Project, the Engine and Avionics is coming from outside like many other things. So, ToT doesn't mean that we will start making 100% components and Engine in Pakistan

At the very least we will get the expertise of creating Helicopter Structures which will eventually give us precious expertise and know how of making Helios.

well Pakistan already paid if not full but half for Zulu's .. T-129 Atak can and will be equal or cheaper than Zulu so funds will be available over time ..

Well surely have improved. But a lot more needs to be done. Anyways few more years of similar or more growth would put us on the right track.

I think PA is in finalizing the deal of T-129's and in coming months we will see another break-through in Milgem Corvette deal as well .. I hope Pakistan will buy at least 50+ unit of T-129 and replace them with Aging Cobra, and also keep the 15 AH-Z1's with a follow up Order of 15 more .. Inshallah

What percentage of components in T-129 will contain US or western-made components? And is this bird going to be sanction proof?

60-50 129 along with 30-45x zulu.. punching package against the enemy armor brigades...

It will be interesting to see if Trump is willing to sell more AH-1Zs to Pakistan beyond the initial order, or if Pakistan is interested to pursue more given their interest in other platforms, including China's Z-10s.

I think T-129 and AH-Z1 would be more than enough for PA .. I personally think we could try to repeat the same order of 15 Zulu with 1000 Hell-fire missiles .. I do think we need to Arm the FC and Army with Attack Helicopters for any Threat from Indians and Protection of CPEC.

With T-129 Pakistan will also get umtas,omtas and cirit Technology with Turkish ew suit and MWR radar and mission computer which are very important for everybuyers.
Nowadays one of the most important thing is 4CSIR system for conventional and asimetrik wars. For example your uavs ,fighter jets,tanks and special ops will take action against terrorist with these attack helicopters. If i were you i much think about how Pakistan will do it with US heli. Do you think US let this or can Pakistan trust them at bad days. How will Chineese system work with US system.
But you know you can trust Turkey and can get technological help when needed.
T-129, TFX, milgem ,modernisation of subs,help of aselsan for your tank command systems will give Pakistan as the same advantage as Turkey which we will have at the future.
But as we see nowadays modern weapons are not enough. Human sources must have enough skills and education for modern weapons and warfare which Turkey lacks. We develop state of art systems but cant use them as effective as Americans or Russians. You will also have advantage of learning the way of using modern weapons with Turkey because we will learn it by ourselves.
