The best achievement of Afghans, of any ethnicity, is to convert your kind to islam. Ghauri invited your ghakkars to islam and they accepted it. In the army of ghauri, khwaja moinudeen was present who was from Afghanistan and did tabligh to hindus. Ghauri installed a first muslim dynasty on delhi, giving political power to islam in india, due to which your ancestors practiced islam without any fear. Khilji, syed, lodhi, suri dynasties were from afghanistan and your text books consider them part of muslim history of pakistan, pakistan which includes your punjabis.
