Want cordial relations with India: Taliban leader Sirajuddin Haqqani

.
And the question is, why not? Taliban is an equal force and a govt in Afghanistan.

. . .
"Afghan Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, says 'India's relation with Afghanistan goes back in history.."

history when Afghans invaded India? :yahoo:

You do realize he Seized Peshawar Lahore and Multan from Mughal Rulers first (The current Heartland of Pakistan) Before launching invasion of Delhi. And his empire was an of shoot of the infamous Nadir Shah Afshari the butcher of Iran who was prime reason of downfall of Mughals. His spirtual Father Nadir Shahs destruction of Delhi and then his Seizure of West Mughal Empire (Pakistan) and capture of delhi again in 1750s caused ripples across India. British crept in Bengal (Ally of Mughals) Marathas crept up from south and took over Delhi.
The once mighty Muslim Stronghold of North India Starting from Peshawar to Bengal was shattered to pieces by Persian-Afghan Forces.
The famous Abdali Maratha war That oir ULEMA teach us with such fervor came after the downfall of Mughals by hands of these same PersoAfghan.

But i dont expect you to understand this by reading just one post. Just wrote a summary of these PersoAfghan Invasion on Muslim India in 1700s and gradual decline of Centuries old North Indian Muslim Heartland. Read in detail and then decide which Muslims side will you want to take.
PersoAfghans or Mughals/Nawabs of Odessa Bengal/Nizam of Hyderabad and their Rajpuit and Sikh Allies.

Durrani was born in Multan (pakistan) and raised there. His army had locals from there ..also he died at a place called toba achakzai in pakistan near afghan border. So he was our own guy.
he initiated his campaigns from kandhar and conquered the afghan lands first before even entering khyber or punjab.. he had great support in peshawar and made it his headquarters..even in punjab he faced little resistance as mughals were very weak. Read about the Seige of lahore and how it fell upon shortage of food. Durrani retained the mughal governor mannu.

Nadir Shah was not the prime reason for fall of mughals.. let's say mughal outran their life. And got attacked left and right.

Neither.
Please take history as it is and not a medium to score brownie points in today's geo politics.
Mughal rule degenerated over time due to many factors that played much bigger role the than the invading armies.

Pakistan has no problem with cordial relations between any nations

We also don't care that much about trade, hell even military relationship

What we will react to is Pakistani strategic interests being threatened like they were between the afghan republic and India prior to last year

If the afghan republic had behaved a little more sensibly they wouldn't have been destroyed

Bhai Matlab kuch bhi? 🙄

Born in Herat Afghanistan (Afsharid Dynasty at that time) Died in Kandhar Afghanistan. Tomb kn Kandhar Afghanistan. General in Nadir Shah army. Returned to Kandhar after murder of Nadir shah, Coronated as king in Kandhar by Local warlords and tribes Loyal to Nadir Shah Afshari Before. Whatever his campaign inside Afsharid lands was there internal power consolidation. He was not your own man.

And Mughal Empire was a formiddable force before its defeat in Karnal by Nadir shah the Butcher.
Delhi Had strong vassal states in Bengal Hyderabad and Awadh.
Unfortunately there is always a winner in war. But victor is not always the hero. Nadir Sack of Delhi was what took down Mughal defacto.

Just a hint. Right after Duo of Nadir and Abdali executed there campaigns. Out of nowhere Marathas , British and Sikhs came right?. Before these PersoAfghans no one could dislodge Dominance of Mughal Rule.
Mughal was a prosprous empire with strong Government system and public support. Nadir shah was just a one time phenomenon that vanished with his death. And it happens a lot in history. Alexander defeating Achemenids. Mongols defeating Khwarzemian Empire. Temur defeating Lodhis.

The only credit that can be given to Durrani is that he defeated Marathas and restored some sort of balance in Muslim India Putting those Sanghis in Place. But that too in my opinnion was his and his predecessor fault. And also british came shortly after creeping from the east so there wasnt any historical impact for Muslims of Subcontinent from that victory.

And i have nothing against Ahmad Shah Durrani as a king. He was a brilliant stretegist, Wise Ruler and Not a tyranical butcher like Nader shah.
As a history student i admire his life.
Its just that he was not our king. Neither as a decendent of Rajhistani Immagrants to Punjab nor as a Subcontinent Muslim. We have a Great historical lagacy.
May be you are from KPK Afghan border areas you may find some association with his legacy. In that case i respect your opinnion.

You need to do more research on this.
How the sadozai tribes lost war to local and how they followed trend of doing 'kooch' to take refuge in multan and area around where ahmed Shah durani was born. Multan became his Watan even when it was not supposed to.
No he didn't die in kandahar.. he is only burried there.

Muhammad shah rangeela was everything wrong that could happen to an empire.. he did to the empire what lgbtq are doing to west today. embracing art over sword.. he was sitting on a crumbling empire.. his period witnessed the rise of many independent and semi independent states like Bengal, Oudh, and South India and breaking away of Kabul. Similarly, splinters groups got strength and motivation from the growing weakness of the tottering Mughal Empire. Marathas started a long war with the mughals known as Maratha-Mughal war 1725 that carried on till 1763 that proved a death knell. The maratha wars began before Nadir even became king in 1730. In Punjab also Sikh carved out an independent territory by joining hands with Marathas. Marathas overwhelmed Mughals and even entered Delhi in 1738 which Baji Rao agreed to leave only after Muhammad Shah committed favorable terms to him. Nadir shah captured delhi months later in 1739..the ghilzai afghans were on his side who were causing problems in eastern afsharid provinces fought Turkmen Nader Shah and upon being captured passed the word how vulnerable muhammad shah was. Rest is history.
