Good afternoon gentlemen,
It is a thanks giving day in the U S and happy thankks giving to you all.
@Khafee---I do not know what sort of participation does the UAE has in the JF17 program----but if it does not have any----it surely did miss the boat and missed on a great opportunity.
There is nothing that builds a stronger unity / bond than in field collaboration in building in building weapons of self protection visible to the public of both the nations---. Specially those weapons that are to be the pride of the nation---yes we did it---yes we build it---and yes we stood together in the building process.
A partnership of the UAE in this project would have been a fascinating induction which would also have opened up new technical horizons for the engineers and air force of the UAE.
UAE and other countries neighboring you---have not built up bonds of working together at the grass root levels as equals or as under dogs with pakistan---.
The induction of that process---where you have dug trenches together would have brought in camaraderie and friendship to level not known before---and I bet you that the UAE would have attained more out of the experience than would have pakistan---. The perception of the current and younger generation about them and pakistan would be different and vice versa---.
500 million dollars was chump change for the emirates---but the rewards would have been 100 times more.
The arab mindset of waiting and seeing must change now----they need to step out of their secure zone and start doing things. Their collaboration with pakistan / china for building major weapons systems would be an eye popping experience.
