Nice. That is exactly what I'm talking about. Good pics.

It reminds me of Long Island's own 'The Hamptons'. Its a nice place to escape the Hurly Burly of NYC.

Not too far away from bustling Shanghai you can find this oasis - 崇明岛 Chongming Island:

Yup, oasis in my city, about 1 hour drive via new highways from where I live.
I love the forest park (森林公园) there, spend a night in the village hostel.
:-)

Wow. These are villages ? They look like well established subdivisions ! Chinese people really are getting richer and richer eh? :)

On the last picture. What absolutely stunning wood carving ! Is that traditional Chinese wood carving or something ? And the family picture is so cute , too. Glad to see that the average Chinese family are prospering. :)

Thanks for sharing the pictures, buddy. I really like the colorful facades of the homes ! They almost have a Caribbean feel to them due to the colors, very light and airy. Wonderful !

Look more carefully/closely at the windows of the houses posted in the pics on the first few pages...notice anything disturbing that points to a stark contrast to the term "rich".
