I think its a wonderfull chance to showcase our serious friendship to vietnam!!!
What I am not able to digest is when china provides arms to pakistan, what stops india from doing the same to vietnam whose president overlooked protocols and met indian OFFICIALS !!!????
The president has given up his dignity and asked for help, but those politicians are trying to please somebody who in turn are pleasing somebody!!

Vietnam had asked India to transfer Brahmos cruise missiles !!!

this is like asking whether China should transfer J-10B tech to Pakistan.
this is like asking whether China should transfer Y-8 tech to Pakistan.
this is like asking whether China should transfer Type-96 tech to Pakistan.
this is like asking whether China should transfer PLZ-05 tech to Pakistan.
this is like asking whether China should transfer Type-054A tech to Pakistan.
this is like asking whether China should transfer Type-052C tech to Pakistan.

because:

1. China is a UNSC permanent member having influence on most international matters, india is NOT.
2. China has a ~10 trillion $ GDP by PPP, its military budget is over 100 billion $ by PPP, india couldn't afford it.
3. China builds most (85%) of its weapons and deploy it to your door step, india import bullets from Israel.
4. China won the 1962 war without mobilizing any of its best divisions (e.g. 38th army).
5. China is 350km away from new delhi, india is 3000km away from Beijing.

simple and plain.

It is widely observed that indians like to compare its fancy "motherland" with China. I just want to point out another widely reported undisputed fact that these two nations are running in completely different levels.

I can even honestly tell the reasons why we are running in two different levels:

1. we Chinese work hard and talk less. you guys talk but refuse to work.
2. Chinese national average IQ is 105, india's is 82.

racially, culturally, we are different.
economically, the gap is larger.

OH dont bull sh!t me with that 102 IQ stuff.. Ha ha wats the use of that IQ when its controlled by red thugs who themselfs have zero IQ.. they instruct u what to eat drink , when to piss fart, how many to produce, what to study where and what to work, what language to speak. and yet ur proud of IQ?? an average Chinese's life is no better than a wh0re in a rich brothel..the richness of the brothel doesnot define ur status. a wh0re is a wh0re..

What else can be expected from this @$$ **** Gov and pussie fake sardar.
History will not forgive u if u desert friends who need ur help, These Neo seculars are the jaichands of modern india.
Our China policy translates to licking its a$$ till kingdom come. Our politicians don't have the balls to co(k a snook at the Chinese. But they develop extra balls when dealing with countries like Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Nauru, Tokelau and so on!!! Jeeez!

This is just too much to expect from Indian Leadership,Censor board asked producers of latest RK movie Rockstar to blur the images of Tibetan flag shown in the movie. Man to expect that this government would give Brahmos to Vietnam is just far fetched.

anything can happen in geopolitics

don't be so sure

China with their 8 trillion economy and best scienctist would easily find a way to counter this supersonic missile but only problem happens there is hardly any mature technology to counter these supersonics which China can steal or copy.

Some food for thought

Chetan Chauhan, Hindustan Times
New Delhi, November 10, 2011

China is ahead of India in creating world class institutions, said Richard C Levin, President of Yale University.

Unlike its counterpart, India has focused on increasing the number of institutions, rather than creating world-class educational institutions.

The Chinese government had focused on 10 universities including Peking and Tsinghua to compete in global arena as compared to none by India, which has focused on setting up new higher education institutions to cater to growing demand for higher education.

"China's Peking University would be among top 25 universities in the world in a decade. And, India has opted for egalitarian tendency for setting more universities," Levin told Hindustan Times on Wednesday.

Levin also finds popular US sentiment in favour of China than India primarily because of size of the Chinese economy and its focus on the US market. Recent US data have shown that the number of US students taking admission in Chinese universities is increasing at a much higher rate than in India.

But, he believes that India has an advantage over China because of its free society but it needs to invest more for research in its universities as done in the developed world.

Levin is in India to explore more research partnership for Yale University and would be discussing future of foreign education providers in India with HRD minister Kapil Sibal.

Yale like many US universities such as Harvard and MIT has ruled out setting up a campus in India in near future.

Levin, however, found delay in enactment of Foreign Education Providers Bill and Innovation University Bill as an impediment in attracting foreign universities in India.

"Quite of them (US universities) will be interest for independent entry into the Indian market, if the (Foreign Education Providers) bill is passed," he said, while referring to heads of some US universities during Indo-US Education Summit in Washington last month.

Sibal has already held a couple of meeting with MPs belonging to UPA in his bid to get the bills passed in winter session of Parliament.

US-based universities had shown interest in India with President of Columbia University Lee C Bollinger meeting HRD minister Sibal earlier this week. Bollinder is believed to have discussed the possibility of Columbia University initiating a partnership with an Indian University in 2012.

HRD ministry officials said that the partnership between India and US universities are likely to strengthen when US secretary for state Hillary Clinton visits India in December to participate in Indo-US Education Summit. The first part of the summit was held in Washington in October this year.

Great,... so whats your point??????????

If China is investing in higher education its a good step but how does it negates india ?

India have already created world class Institution that china will take many decades to build and this is called world's largest democracy.

And if china tries to build it the existence of china will be in danger, they are surviving under the dictator cpc rule with the nexus of army.

They know it well that's why they are not opting for it.
