Dictatorship or democracy?Nobody care as long as people live in a good life.Chinese don't like dictatorship but most people won't risk their good life for the so call democracy.

Well,authoritarian power systems are definitely more capable of developing faster.But I feel in SEA or EA vs SA,it's more about the culture,societal attitude of people.Orientals are just more hardworking and cohesive as a society than the south asians .It's an undeniable fact staring you in the face.Some just don't want to acknowledge it due to political correctness or their own ego and complexes.

Ethnicity?Maybe,but more to do with the social and cultural aspects than "genetic".It's just plain as daylight to anyone.The Chinese or rest of east asians or south east asians will toil away in sweatshops,factories and various places and expect gradual change while south asians will hold strikes and burn down factories to 'protest' the working conditions and expect first world pay and working conditions.Asian societies(asian from the american pov not the whole continent) usually favour social cohesion and well being of the group over the individual while south asian societies are neither individualistic nor groupists.
It's not that south asians aren't capable,they just don't do it.They are talkers and not doers.Daydreamers,not thinkers and achievers.

They are fighters and they are survivors. When the world was shaping up they were fighting big powers. Whatever political sytem they may have, they deserve a better life. And soon they will be a force to reckon with.
