Varyag is out of the dry dock

wow, your own country still shame you.....trust me, none of U.S's allies will into the war if opponents is russia and china,do you think china will still stick to the "no circumstance" policy if U.S's so-call allies all join the war ?how many country are willing to lost millions of their citizen for U.S's hegemonic interests?

U.S don't need help because this war is not gonna happen in the near future.....
Why should anyone 'trust' you? Prior to the two Iraqi wars led by the US, neither Russia nor China supported US intentions. Prior to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, Iraq could not get out of the massive debts owed to Russia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and other European powers despite Iraqi oil reserves. The Iraq-Iran war cost Iraq nearly 1/2 trillion in combined direct costs, deferred and delayed GNP output, infrastructure repairs and assorted economic details such as food and other trade imports. By that time, the Soviets were already in decline so they had all the incentives to oppose the US. They have every practical reason to have Saddam Hussein remained in power to recoup their debt.

People's Daily Online -- China set to forgive Iraq debt
China will substantially forgive debt owed by Iraq and also help with the reconstruction of the war-torn country.

He was referring to a 1997 deal struck by China National Petroleum Corp to develop the billion-barrel Al-Ahdab field. The $1.2 billion contract was signed by the company and the government of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
So why should China support the removal of Saddam Hussein? Just like the Soviets, it would have been better if Saddam Hussein remained in power so China would not have to forgive any debt at all. Heaven smiled upon China when the current Iraqi government decided to be independent of the US and honored Saddam's original deal.

Fact...IF the US determine that so-and-so country is hostile to US interests, there is nothing short of being in an actual military alliance with said country by either Russia or China in order to have an effective deterrence against US. And when US allies, many of them share those same threatened interests, sees Russia and China unable to create such an alliance...

because i don't believe any of your allies(maybe besides U.K) would join the iraq war if they know they would lost thousands in the first day,of cause people can disagree with my point.....i am not persuade anyone here,we don't count our lives on your allies' indecision ,chinese always prepar for the worse situation

you know i just took time to think about this and the most obvious thing china gets out of the current iraq situation is that china have gotten a bunch of oil deals, this without having to send a single troop since its under the protection of NATO right now. forgive some debt , gain goodwill and sign major oil deals, doesnt sound too bad to the chinese leadership.

Of course not. China made out very well. Of course, there was no guarantee that the new Iraqi government was going to honor Saddam's deals with China, Russia and assorted European countries. China just got lucky. Pretty much put to rest the nonsense that the US invaded Iraq 'for oil'. Instead of having two nuclear weapons aspirants in the ME, we now have just one -- Iran. And the other -- Iraq -- is now undergoing serious internal reforms. We played hardball. Now it is up to everyone else to play softball. With China being the generous and forgiving debtor at this opportune time, China will contribute to the stability of the region.

There are plenty of fan art images of j-xx on the web, but this is the first time an image appears on a national magazine. Maybe the PLAF is reacting to the enormous public interest after General He's interview last year and decides to "leak" some unconfirmed info.
