What's new

Varyag is out of the dry dock

:Dlol china got this baby for 40 million dollars

India paid 2.6.. BILLION dollars for their craft which is again delayed by 2 years

AZADPAKISTAN2009, my brother let's not compare ourselves with others, we shouldn't be interested in an arms competition with anyone especially our neighbors, India has enormous resources available to her and certainly deserves our respect. Just mind our own business and things will work out fine

Wrong. Completely wrong dude.

China did spend 40 millions but for the initial purchase. The carrier was in such bad shape that it couldn't even reach china and took a lot of time to reach with support of various other vessels. China has spent a lot of money on it.

If china looks to put it into service, it will have to spend over 1-2 billion to install all the equipment, cause china bought just the hull, that too was very badly rusted and broken.

India on the other hand is getting a completely renovated carrier. Admiral Gorshkov is undergoing huge changes and repairs including structural changes, and all new wiring and equipment.

Also Indian cost includes cost of trials and training.

China will have to spend close to 2 billion to get the carrier working like new.

Thanks for your wisdom brother.

Living in a peaceful environment or even a friendly one with India would not be a problem for India's neighbors as much as it would be for India. And that is because of a particular mindset there that they are the big brothers of South Asia.

Surely if China and the SAARC nations unite politically, they can quite easily manage the West's monopoly over International affairs. Bangladesh, China, India and Pakistan make up nearly half of the worlds people, we have so much potential for growth.....

You are kidding me, is that for real? The front tip of the jet seems a bit longer than this model here, I kinda really wished it could look like this... Heard there are two models of 5th gen jets in development, the CF is responsible for the heavy weight j-xx, SF is rumored to be working on a lighter weight model too possibly capable of vertical take offs, if that's true not sure when we can see it, it'll be handy for the aircraft carrier.

that pic is not jxx but j15---flying shark.

Ah yes, that would make sense. I heard that J-15 has already flown but J-xx has only taxied last year, its maiden flight is meant to be later this year.

BTW do you guys think the designation of J-xx will be J-14? I highly doubt that by these recent developments, another designation floating around is J-20, which seems a bit more plausible now...

 sorry for saying this but it does sound a bit boring and disappointing........ you see the oppressed world (by US and Europe) is looking towards China (and some extent towards Russia) for a rescue.

Anyway, i believe Pakistan and other "allies" of the ABC (Asian Brotherhood of China :china::pakistan:) should also come forward in developing their economies and military powers, so that China has some powerful and resourceful friends to work along. :chilli:

Donot derail the topic. And for ur information, no one is looking towards China or Russia for rescue. If anyone is looking for Rescue you name it except you ??? And what China has done for their rescue??
Lets stick to the topic and not discuss blah blah

3. North Korea
4. Zimbabwe
5. Pakistan
6. Venezuela
7. Iran

Not an very inspiring list of great countries.

china don't concern that whether our friends are great countries or not,we are seeking for long term and reliable friends,we wouldn't force them to join a war for us,we wouldn't ask them to contain our opponents, every developing countries have good relationship with china (maybe except few others) , U.S have lots of so-call allies, but how many allies of U.S will still with them if they have a real war with a big country ,and you forgot russia also have the similar strategic interests with china in this area, maybe some russian are a little bit worried about china's rising, but which partner you think Russia prefer:China or U.S?

I will break a coconut when the Chinese Carrier will near indian waters ;) sail .... Mighty Chinese Navy we need your big carrier by in Bangladesh
