so how come we stopped it in 2011?? for many months when our troops were targetted

The only alternative land route is Turkey-Armenia/Georgia-Azerbaijan-Kazachstan-Turkmenistan-Afghanistan. And its very expensive.

Russia is no option anymore.

I do not understand what is US doing with Pakistan...Just useless talk. In spite of anti Pakistan mindset, i can clearly see the hypocrisy of US in dealing with Pakistan...For US, ISIS and Gulfies are good guys, but Pakistan( Keep it aside India Pak rivallary), who lost thousands of people for fighting on Western border, should do more so that US can do all the non sense throughout the world....Crazy and delusional...

Unfortunately, India interest allign with US in Afganistan due to our internal dynamics with Kashmir...Other, i hope, Pakistan plays its card well, do not just listen to US and encourage them to continue with their stupidity....

Time has come, US should really move out of Afganistan....US is just an outsider in Syria, Libiya, Gulf, Afganistan and also in Pakistan too....US should learn how Japan is integrated with rest of the world in positive way than getting engaed in conflict...
