For the simple reason that all trade and commerce flourishes under the mandate of western-initiated laws and treaties. This is not a buffet lunch for China to pick and choose from, but an entire system. Nobody has guaranteed China that a replacement to this system will be based on Chinese jurisprudence or legal systems.

Star added could have been mistaken and I am sure Viet Nam will not the only one. Let's say, Viet Nam leaders wants it then so what? Vietnamese people could take them down and burn them to hell. Like I said earlier, Vietnamese history has painted with blood, so that is not an option like you wishful thinking.

That's also 1 reason, in 1000 of reasons made Vietnamese people complete changed, from Han's script to became alphabet. It not easy ways to completely get rid of its, but rather to be that way more than confusion Vietnamese are Chinese.
