The U.S interest is

a) De-nuclearize Pakistan.
b) Make Pakistan India's bitch.

While at the same time prevent the total collapse of the Pakistani state.

I think people should come out on the roads and until PM IK does not issues a unambiguous statement on this matter no one else should be taken at the face value.
How our corrupt establishment were involved in getting Nora out of the country followed up by Shahbaz clearance to travel does not gives any one heart to trust them. If army wants to destroy the country society fabric and start new divisions then they should be held responsible too, enough of this forever crap by our generals from their role in Bangladesh start of the civil war to the current debate and more dots in between. Nothing will be suicidal. Pakistan cannot resist pressure from the US in its current financial situation. We have a couple of choices.
Make the terms harsh so US walks away.
Make the terms restrictive so the US cannot do anything we do not want it to do. We can always take it to the NA and let the parties debate it. You can well imagine what will happen if we do.
Get the most out of it for Pakistan before relenting. This would include all stopped Aid and CSF, FATF relief and WB relief amongst other things.
CPEC is here to stay and no amount of US Pressure will make Pakistan gove up on it

Nuclear Assets may fall in danger then

People are always claiming Pakistan's nuclear weapons are in danger if the US is allowed into Pakistan, but never explain how given:

1. They are spread throughout the country
2. Are delivered through multiple systems: land, air, and sea
3. Are protected by a special group of soldiers

If the US did have a chance to go after Pakistan's nukes, it would be when it has access to Pakistan bases like Shamsi and Blackwater mercenaries were operating in the country. Never took a chance then, and the chances now are even slimmer.
