US, Pakistan discuss options for Gen Bajwa’s visit to DC

The more apt question though would be, who is the least worst!
That is indeed the more apt question and my answer would be, a Government of technocrats for 10 years with the best man for the job at each position. Infact, so disgusted I am with democracy that I would even prefer the Army Chief, whoever it is, to be the head of the state too, each for a duration of 3 years after which the next senior most officer automatically becomes the Army Chief and by extension the head of state.

Bajwa will not retired until he destroy fully this country
LOLOLOLOLOL .............. Bhai, bohat jokey hain aap

Bajwa needs to go on a flight with a crate of mangoes…

Or should I say, someone needs to put a crate of mangoes on his flight…

Only mangoes can save this country…

Politicians can be hanged. Why not Generals? Its time these pigs answer for their crimes against Pakistan

WASHINGTON: The United States and Pakistani officials are considering various options for Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Bajwa to visit the United States in late August or early September, diplomatic sources told Dawn.
“A date will soon be finalized,” a source said. Since the visit has not yet been officially confirmed, neither side has announced the agenda of the talks Gen Bajwa is likely to hold in Washington.
But diplomatic circles and think-tank experts point out that both sides have been trying to arrange such a visit for more than a year now. They also refer to various recent events and statements that might be discussed if and when Gen Bajwa visits Washington.
“We remain engaged with a range of stakeholders in Pakistan, (including) those currently in the government” and with “a broad array of others,” the department’s spokesperson Ned Price said.
Last month, Gen Bajwa reached out to Washington to request help in securing an early disbursement of funds from the IMF. He spoke with US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and later a State Department official rejected media speculations that the call was linked to the current political situation in Pakistan.
Later, Gen Bajwa also spoke with Commander US Centcom Gen Michael Erik Kurilla and, according to an official statement, the two discussed “matters of mutual interests, regional stability as well as defence and security cooperation in detail.”

We need to stop giving view or ideology of other. Rather finding from results based on analytical sciences applied. Example USA will see who is still purchasing oil from Russia by facts and figures on international invoices then will take action by sabotage of espionage techniques. Pakistan please increase your intellectual acumen......

Imran Khan looks unlikely to become the PM. He will be kept busy with cases that end up with nothing. His people will keep getting arrested on some pretext.

The establishment will take the lead if things get out of control. For now Imran Khan is remaining within his limits.

He has done his job. The public has awaken and calling out establishment for what they really are. I am reasonably confident that few years down the road PDM crooks and establishment boys will face the wrath of the public and a new crop of honest leaders will be ruling Pakistan.

In an ideal world, yeah.

But who is to say that the technocrats with no accountability would be true to the cause then? That's why Shaukat Aziz was brought in, no?

The most viable solution right now is to carry on with this 'democracy', with PTI being the least worst of them all. That is what a large part of the country thinks...PTI is by no means perfect..but it is what we got.

yes this is also possible but the issue is who will manage 2023 election & who will guarantee the continuation of current political setup .... ???

because someone is required for the transition of power from PML-N to PPP Lt. Gen. Aamer could be one of the person (as per current rumours) but then the question is what would be the role of Gen. Bajwa would he be another Gen. Rtd Kyani or would he be Gen. Rtd. Musharraf.

So if Bajwa take an exit from power politics of Pakistan then to keep him safe it is necessary to keep PTI out of politics at least for next 10 years, which seems very difficult with the current political support of PTI from common Pakistanis & young voters.
He will be killed. Shariefs are merely pawn in this whole game. The real player is not even Pakistan ... Although i born later but have read history ... Its dejavu of butto ...

American establishment dont want a stable Pakistan friends with china and russia

Local political bakvas aside, this visit, if it happens, will be good for Pakistan-US mil relations. Pakistan needs to keep an even keel maintaining positive ties with both the US and China.
