No it's 50 Billion dollars. In statement Ahmed Mukhtar said that they offered arms worth 34 Billion Dollars and that was Major Defence Equipment which means Fighter planes/ Heli's could be there. as i don't think humvees or ground vehicles are included in MDE program.

what we need right now is not something flashy like fighter planes or ships etc but we do need and can probably afford force mulitpliers such as night vision, machine guns, light attack helis and some kinds of air to ground missiles and light fighting vehicles because we need it for the war on home grown miscreants and as for heavy things i dont see them coming

Well untill their is something substantial , their is no point to get excited

$34 Billion dollars is a high figure , considering our total aid from US was 2-6 Billion dollars during war on Terror days.

Most of these low end stuff

a) Jeeps
b) Armoured vehicles
c) Wepons

If we are getting Helicopters and Drones and high end Night Vision for soldiers that would be a valuable

The figure looks too good to be true

Where is the SOURCE?

Tabloid papers are not good source we need a large Western Source , and Local source as secondary source to believe it
