Anybody have an exact list of what is included in the deal? Must include spare engines (which are never cheap). How about munitions?

Yes, you can induct Chinese or Russian aircraft that is per unit cheaper than a F-16, but what about trade-offs in efficiency that comes with operating a new aircraft type? Doesn't the F-16 still come out ahead?

Also prone to sanctions so time to actually get out of the comfort zone called F16. Also once a new platform is inducted it maybe effort and money but in the long run it will be better.

First foolish act. No foreign minister to set the strategy to not only woo the White House, but Congress. This is not the first time Pakistan made this mistake. If they actually paid attention to what is going on in Capital Hill, they would see this was coming from a mile away, but they were blindsided.

Second foolish act, to admit you have no funds to purchase the planes. Do you know how much of a beggar you sound? And this insistence on pursuing the F-16 even in the face of opposition just gives more leverage to US. Pakistan best bet was just to walk away from the deal. Let US pursue you instead you pursuing them.

What can I say----loot and plunder is rampant---state sec treaury has 70 crore plus sitting in his residence---and the country is broke---.

The thing is how much money was he able to send out before he got caught.
