US Census: Pakistani-Americans Are Young, Well-educated and Prosperous

Lmao I think the reason lines aren't so long is because China has 5-10x GDP per capita of South Asian countries on par with countries that are visa free entry to the US (like Hungary and Chile) and doesn't have incredibly high visa violation rates.

So people from Tibet and other regions can apply for and get passports in a timely fashion?

So people from Tibet and other regions can apply for and get passports in a timely fashion?

There's no legal restriction on doing so. 150+ million people leave the country every year. So there's no practical limitation either. At least on the passport side.

The limitation is on the foreign visa. Anyone can go anywhere if someone agrees to take them. Back in the 80s China gladly wished the poor, lazy etc. would all leave voluntarily. In fact it was easy to leave, hard to come back (they cancelled your hukou registration). But who would take them? They only wanted elite talents and elite talents are rare. And nobody knows who is an elite talent until they're put in the position. Xi Jinping started out as a farmer after all.

That's why China developed ourselves. Any individual could escape poverty by immigration, but unlike countries like Philippines or India, overseas labor and remittance could never support China long term.

No "legal" restriction? Please tell us how long does it take for a Tibetan to get a passport compared to a resident of Shanghai or Beijing?

How would I know? I can only show you the laws and practical policies.

You may find it educational to look up the answer. Your official line is not fooling anyone.

What official line? I don't care about Tibetans.

If the ones who don't like it in China all voluntarily left then there's no more Tibetan problem. The land stays and everyone who is left wants to be there.

Spoken like a true criminal that you are as part of the occupying cabal.

You don't care about Tibetans? shame on you for not regarding them as Chinese citizens with equal rights, which you like to pretend officially. But all you want is the land, the people be damned, if they haven't left already. FYI, it takes years to get a passport in Tibet. YEARS.

On topic, no wonder the Chinese are underrepresented, relatively speaking, because the communist government prevents its own citizens from travelling freely, both within and outside the country.

Let's all count the pretty shiny trains, and ignore the child quotas.

FROM THE SAME STUDY. Does not surprise me, but may to many who heard how smart the Chinese are, see in reality how poorly they do in countries outside of China. They can't fudge the IQ numbers in the real free world.

Indians / Filipinos / Pakistani Americans do better than Chinese in earnings.
Indians/Pakistanis are MORE educated than the Chinese. @vi-va -@Beast @GamoAccu you and your folks are bringing our averages down. you guys make less than even the average income of all Asian Americans...

Jewish outreach to the Indian diaspora in the United States | The Jewish People Policy Institute

The formation of strong political ties between the Jewish and Indian leaderships and communities in the United States
In the last two decades, American Jewish groups have been very active in cultivating strong political links between the Jewish and Indian leaderships in the U.S., and between the Indian, American, and Israeli leaderships. Senior representatives of AIPAC and of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), among others, visit New Delhi on a regular basis and bring frequent delegations of Indian policy makers, think tank members, and journalists to the United States and Israel to discuss issues of common concern. In addition, the AJC has been at the forefront of endeavors to build bridges between Indian Americans and Jewish Americans. It has carried out a series of initiatives on the national and regional levels to expand dialogue and mutual understanding with the Indian community, as it has done in the past with the Latino and African American communities. It has also endeavored to forge business links between Indian Americans and Jews. In addition, AJC sponsored and participated in the interfaith dialogue of Jewish and Hindu leaders, and it coordinated several delegations of Indian Muslim leaders to Israel (more about this later).

American Jewish lobbies as models and partners of Indian lobbies in the United States
As Indian Americans recognized the success of American Jewish organizations in the political and other arenas, they began to look to these organizations as models and partners, and Jewish organizations were happy to respond. American Jewish lobbies have actively supported and contributed to the formation and success of Indian lobbies and have often served as organizational and developmental models. The Congressional India Caucus, now the largest caucus in Congress, the U.S. India Political Action Committee (USINPAC), the first and leading Indian lobbying group in the United States, and the Hindu American Foundation were all founded with the close support and encouragement of AJC and/or AIPAC. USINPAC continues to rely on many of the same methods and tactics used by AIPAC when lobbying Congress – including, for instance, letter writing campaigns and donations to targeted Congressional candidates. The Hindu American Foundation is also looking to ADL and the Simon Wiesenthal Center for guidance in advocacy and lobbying. Emulating the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s work against anti-Semitic hate speech, the Hindu American Foundation released its own report in 2007 about online hatred and bigotry against Hindus.60 It also runs an internship program giving Hindu university students the opportunity to take their first steps as Congressional lobbyists in defense of Hinduism and global Hindu challenges. Other organizations, such as the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) have benefited from AJC and AIPAC support. In addition, the Indian community has emulated Jewish organizations at the grassroots level. India Community Centers, like Jewish Community Centers, offer a large number of educational, cultural, identity-building, and recreational programs to Indian communities.

It not a question of shame, it way of civilizational primitive thought process comparable to antiquated mindsets like Euro-centrism

Han chauvinism

Sinocentrism

Concept of nation-state is alien to their Govt and not surprisingly to Mainland Chinese diaspora

No wonder Taiwan is renegade province and some folks in Hong Kong rather have UK rule them than CCP

Psychological mainland Chinese at stuck in the century of humiliation time wrap

I'm surprised how many Americans are worried about Mexican illegal immigration but blind to a major increase of Indians coming to the US.
Chinese Americans should launch a protest about this for publicizing this

Do cultural revolution red guard dance as well for more attraction

India's record-breaking diaspora in numbers

When Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visits the United States, he is among compatriots – 4.4 million of them.

India has the largest diaspora in the world, with around 18 million of its citizens living in other countries. The US is their top destination: in 2017, people of Indian descent made up 1.3% of the American population, and they are the most successful immigrants in the country.

As economist Nirvikar Singh says in an interview with the University of California Santa Cruz, “Indian entrepreneurship is a very important engine of economic growth." The co-author of a book on the Indian diaspora in the US notes that 8% of the founders of high-tech companies are Indian. With Sundar Pichai running Google and Satya Nadella the CEO of Microsoft, Indians play a prominent role in some of America’s biggest tech firms.

-------

Despite a sizeable outflow, India is still home to 1.39 billion people – and by 2027, it’s set to overtake China as the world’s most populous country. While there has been progress in reducing extreme poverty levels, there are still 176 million people living in poverty in India, and money remitted by expatriates is an important part of economic development and growth. In 2018, Indians abroad sent back $80 billion, making the country the leading recipient of funds from overseas.

According to the Reserve Bank of India, inward remittances helped to finance 43% of the country’s trade deficit in 2017-18. They also help to meet the needs of the poor by covering the cost of daily living expenses and allowing people to invest in business and education.
