US asks Pakistan to 'prevent terrorist attacks' in the region

WASHINGTON: US State Department Deputy Spokesperson, Mark Toner has said that the US would encourage greater dialogue and counter-terrorism cooperation between both Pakistan and India.

While answering a question during a briefing in Washington on Tuesday, he said that it would be beneficial for both countries, the region itself and the United States.

“It’s important that Pakistan do the utmost to prevent terrorists from carrying out acts of terror – not just in Pakistan, but elsewhere in the region. So it’s important that there’s greater collaboration, greater dialogue. And we would encourage any effort in that regard” Mark Toner said.

Pakistan is well within the right to do so, but does that mean you provide safe heavens, provide training and send your own citizens (calling them non-state actors) to other countries to kill innocent civilians ??
