WASHINGTON: US State Department Deputy Spokesperson, Mark Toner has said that the US would encourage greater dialogue and counter-terrorism cooperation between both Pakistan and India.

While answering a question during a briefing in Washington on Tuesday, he said that it would be beneficial for both countries, the region itself and the United States.

“It’s important that Pakistan do the utmost to prevent terrorists from carrying out acts of terror – not just in Pakistan, but elsewhere in the region. So it’s important that there’s greater collaboration, greater dialogue. And we would encourage any effort in that regard” Mark Toner said.

The US should also encourage India to stop it's state sponsored terrorism in Indian Occupied Kashmir and cross-border terrorism in the rest of Pakistan.
Pakistan should ask the US to put India on the state sponsor of terrorism list.

only way to accomplish that would be through a strategy to kick US out of Kabul first....

Wouldn't that cast doubts on the the entire government of Pakistan and it's democratic process.

But then, surely, you will have to concede, seeing the reactions of our friends from Pakistan here, that they themselves consider the whole process of democracy and democratic government/institution in their country a joke, thus rendering your question rhetorical, if I may say??

The disturbing aspect is the actual acceptance of majority of members here of Army being the ruler in the nation thus lending credence to Pakistan being an Army with a nation as opposed to Nation with an army.

The effects, thereof, are evident from an apparent inability of the judiciary to bring the cases against Musharraf to their logical conclusions or for that matter the virtual hijacking of the foreign policy by the military establishment which endeavors to undermine every attempt at peace by the civil governments of the two sides.

The pictographic evidence was seen with the coverage given to Army Officers visiting the Quetta blast sites and apparent absence of any senior member of GoP/lack of coverage to same.

After stupid speech by Modi (already backfire in his own state) under massive criticism by his own country think tanks which includes ex-foreign minister (provides edge to Pakistan to expose Indian involvement in Baluchistan, Yadev issue and allow Pakistan to openly interference in India's internal matters like insurgencies in half of eastern India) modi govt realization about what they did by using Baluchistan word in hi speech, immediately respond to foreign minister letter regarding talk on kashmir and now nexus of Indian US govt, above statement was expected lol agay agay dekhiye hota hey kya... woh kamaal kya hey jo ham nahe karsakay.... Shukriya Modi C********

And how does this post concern the topic of this thread?
You can believe whatever you want if that gives you good sleep and dreams .Just forget the bitter reality

I am sorry to hear that, what would you recommend to reform the electoral process.
Something like how its done in India. Bio metric system should be in place so that this pathetic parchi system can be abandon for good. Imagine how many fake votes are casted because of this and the reason why its still in place in Pakistan.

Get the Army out of politics so that it does not interfere with the political process including elections to ensure whoever gets elected kowtows to its illegal powers. Flat out impossible in present-day Pakistan.

When was Pakistan ever a democratic country? The only time there were fair elections held in Pakistan was when Bhutto swept the polls. Pakistan can at best be described as a kleptocracy. Certain influential families, key posts in the bureaucracy, military and judiciary rule the country with an iron fast. The common man simply has no chance.

Our beloved PM has been caught with his pants down committing money laundry, and there are absolutely no repercussions against him despite widespread calls for accountability. You seriously call this a democracy.

But then, surely, you will have to concede, seeing the reactions of our friends from Pakistan here, that they themselves consider the whole process of democracy and democratic government/institution in their country a joke, thus rendering your question rhetorical, if I may say??

Sir

The question you should be asking yourself is, why do the Pakistani People trust their Army more than the politicians.

Our currently "beloved" PM is a creation of the Army, let us not forget that. :D
