What's new

UPDATED ! Not Kaveri but NEW Indo-US JET Engine for India:MEA

WE ALREADY ORDERED F414 for Tejas MK2 . Intraction between Obama and Modi gi has cleared lots of ground breaking deals including Nuclear Deal and UAVs ... why do you think there won't be TOT of F414 and lil tweaks here and there for More powerful Co developed engine for AMCA ? Of course we will use tot to produce engines for commercial jets .... And vis a Versa .

Lool you think the U.S will transfer their fighter engine tech to India? Man , fighter jet engine yrch is the most guarded secret of any country/power, the U.S won't even share theirs with us even though we are their most important ally in Europe and maybe in the world (even though we don't really need their engine tech anyway, since we got ours). Anybody who thinks a country/power will transfer their engine tech to them must be smoking some weed. Lol. Not even India's 'best friend'. Russia has transfer their engine engine tech to India, why/how do you expect the U.S to do so?:cheesy:

Other than engine , there is also a possible cooperation in the field of aircraft carrier technology and design.

Best decision, America makes the best engine, this will be extremely helpful in our future projects. Look at LCA, it needed American engine to make single engine aircraft. If it had Russian, it would have fallen many times over.

 You do realize that we could had a 90+kN Russian engine with 3D TVC, licence produced with credible ToT, which then could be used on LCA and Mig 29K right?

Lool don't get mad bro. Was just stating a fact.
India to be honest won't be able to develop an advanced powerful reliable engine anytime soon. Reason it abandoned/scrapped its kaveri project for LCA after decades and spending billions on it. If you could do it, then you won't be looking for cooperation/tech transfer from the U.S/west. Even countries wjo are way advanced/ahead/have a large industrial nase like China and Japan are still struggling to produce a reliable/powerful fighter engine, so at least so its not like India is alone. :enjoy: So we need to learn to look above our ego and acknowledge the truth. :D

you show respect to India chini, who taught you how to be civilised, India taught you ppl how to live a spiritual life<buddhism> and how to be physically fit, Bodhiram was so tensed after seeing you weak arse cheenis, he taught you martial yoga which is now called shaolin martial arts. Basically how to live.

the only thing we didn't teach you was how to eat so now you cheenis eat anything you see crawling pathetic.

in words of a cheeni himself:

"India Conquered and dominated China culturally for 20 centuries without ever having to send a single soldier across her border." - Hu Shih ....pathetic cheenis.

and for your info. India already produced Kaveri with 85KN thrust but was not enough for latest requirement as per IAF so scrapped so India has know how, not like chinis who begged russians and stole tech. from west but still cant manufacture a reliable enough engine so still importing engines from russian.

(UPTADED) Breaking News : New engine development Co operation between India and USA Today. Along with 3 other ToT and Co Development of advanced weapon system to India .

All the 4 will be Co produced and further Co-developed (UPGRADED)
- Mini UAV
- Spy equipment for transport aircraft
- New Fighter JET ENGINE
- Electro Magnetic catapult system for AC.

There are a few other major deals in the pipes too. When you find out, post for everyone else. There is the Jet co-manufacturing discussion, there was a list of few assembly plants to assemble jets for the US that were going to go to India I think, and a couple of other technologies related items like Big Data and Advance missile production too if I remember correctly.

You may be right about the US being reluctant to transfer jet engine tech. But in the own words of obama - India and US are defining partners of the 21st century, symbolism and all but we will love to put that to the test. its not like they have too many options - you guys a already buckling down to Islamic terror anyways...plus India is the largest importer of weapons already and have plans to procure a lot more and the air force is looking at buying 100's more of fighter jets....so you never know.

I'm not saying it won't happen, but in the 80s when we were best buds, they were going to improve J-8 for us, all the same promises, but then, well, we had to pay to get our jet back, while essentially gave them all the info they wanted on us.

Not saying it won't happen, but looking at their record, I'm not too sure.....

I am not saying it would happen too..but they are ready to share their high end stuff - joint production of 5th gen, emals, production of their high end howitzers, javelin etc already...The agreement called dtti is exactly that. .tot and joint production....so you never know.
