United States takes lead in India’s INS Vishal

Given 10 years , AMCA + LCA mk2 will be considered ..

The LCA is a non-starter it is not designed to operate from CATOBAR carriers and the AMCA hasn't even been suggested as a carrier fighter to date. The IN has been strangely silent on the AMCA which is worrying, if the N-AMCA is to become a reality that can be launched using a catapult then really it needs to be designed from the ground up as a carrier fighter.

AMCA is pushed back to help LCA. I am also hearing french or German help on LCA 2. I think we might have to go Rafale for Vishal.

That's not a problem . Problem will be like we will be forced to buy their jets which will be problem unless we go ahead with navy AMCA

Oh Yeah Baby!!!!!!
Here comes F-35IN.
By that time all problem will be resolved and F-35 will be the meanest jet in Asia.

Although, I do prefer AMCA Navy over F-35.

Aircraft carrier is a big strategic asset and will IN for many years. If US know the inner details of it then it may cause disadvantage in future disagreements.

If that is the concern, then India should let US know and stop this cooperation. If there is no trust, than there should be no way for India to work with US.

and who is gonna take a call on that ?....... you :haha:

Given the eagerness of US in helping in our carrier issues, I'm pretty sure they'll hard press to induct F-35Cs in our carrier group.

But IN will not go for it.

Since we are buying Rafales it will be wiser to opt for Rafale M (off coarse it has its limitations for example, its wings cant be folded.)

However there is lot room for growth in Rafale and Dassault has proposed 4.75 Gen version of Rafale.

They may propose 4.75 Gen vesrion of Rafale M too.

I think they will deploy mix of Rafale M and N LCA and ultimately N AMCA will replace N LCA.

@MilSpec @sancho @Capt.Popeye.

aren't you banned? How are here again, anyways welcome

India should focus on developing LCA II. As for aMCA, India should push back and wait for the six generation tech. It's no point of constantly changing the design as India is not ready to build this plane yet. It has other priorities.

Explain why in this case....

We should not forget why LCA Tejas is delayed by 2 decades +

We started this project with the US help... And one day, they asked us to leave the premises , they even did not allow us to take backup of work what we did.... And again we have started from Zero.

USA and Britan came forward to attack us during 1971 war... Russia was the only country who helped us.

We must understand who is our enemy and friend... otherwise we will end up fate like pakistan.

Good to get the USA on board, you can guarantee this AC will be awesome with the American's helping.

If US does help in carrier design as well as provides EMALs, then we can be sure we will have an american air wing.

Hawkeye AWACs and Sirosky S-70 are already confirmed,

only thing not confirmed is whether India will go for F35C or Rafale M

IN will defiantly go with F-35... it doesn't make sence to put 4th gen's fighter on a whole new gen AC and both rafale's and f-35's price tag will be similar

When U.S. helps a country militarily it expects something huge in return. Modi should be careful because India and the U.S.. are not all-weather friends. U.S. has used Pakistan in the past and Pakistan is still suffering. It will now use India.
