The way I understand Hinduism since I was not educated in a Madarasa, is that the Hindus also worship nature, elements, and beings that contribute to life, as something supreme aka godlike.
The lesson then Islamic schools should take form it is not to ridicule the cow as an animal, but rather the meaning behind respecting a cow for Hindus. ALA as one that produces milk, which enables children to sustain life and is hence revered. Imagine if Britsih Mulsim kids were taught that- I would be willing to bet we would not see so many join ISIS as adults and be involved in these terror attacks in U.K.
