I said it before and people made fun of me saying how well equipped and mighty is UK Army. The problem here is not how well equipped are UK troops but rather the will to put them in cross hairs. Even for west the defeat in Afghanistan was too sour and that taste wont go away for a while. UK cant afford to loose even a single troop without justifying to its populace how is this war any relevant to them. If a few UK soldier die in Ukraine UK govt will have a $hit storm on their hands.

The bigger question is how NATO will justify a war for Ukraine which is not even a NATO member yet? Secondly if they were any serious they would have granted NATO membership to Ukraine rTher than waiting for putin to deploy nearly 150000 troops near ukraine border. NATO nations already lost this fight when they gave Putin time to deploy war machinery.

Considering all the anti-Polish rhetoric as part of the lead up to Brexit, you are probably right.
For the UK, it’s all about Canzuk now; Canada, Australia, New Zealand and New Zealand. As well as AUKUS. Although, Ukraine is a battlefield where Russia can be contained, so while British troops probably won’t fight, arms will probably be supplied to allow two former Soviet republics (Ukraine and Russia) to fight each other with soviet era weapons, so expect soviet era weapons to be refurbished and supplied to the Ukrainians ASAP, for a price.

Exactly NATO is egging Russia to Invade Ukraine. They want a war so that they can put more sanctions on Russia which they cant justify otherwise. NATO cant risk an escalation to nuclear war by going full throttle on Russia directly.

I don't know or care if the above news is correct -


But - what I do know is that the UK should spend more time protecting the UK and worrying less about Ukraine…

- We have lost territorial integrity of the United Kingdom by leaving Northern Ireland under EU control under their Single Market.
- We have lost sovereign control over all of the United Kingdom by leaving Northern Ireland under EU control under their Single Market.
- We have lost our constitutional order over all of the United Kingdom by leaving Northern Ireland under EU control under their Single Market.
- Our citizens in Northern Ireland are now subject to a different law dictated by a foreign power over which they have no say at all now.

We had an opportunity to prove our metal by invoking Article 16 and getting our land back but the United Kingdom folded to the EU again... first time when they agree to partition off the UK and give it to the EU and the 2nd time by failing to get it back...

So - if we cannot protect our own f-------ng turf - why the f---- are we wasting time with Ukraine .... 


AND ... we should spend less time rejoicing on sending on the Royal Navy on all expenses paid loveboat cruise to the east and the west - and spend that time and effort on acutally trying to remove foreign EU occupation of part of our country and our citizens.

I also can't imagine how or why the UK would put its neck on the line for Ukraine. Its one thing if it's say Norway or Iceland (geographic proximity to the Isles) but unless the US is clear on its intent to confront the Russians in their backyard I can't see the UK or anybody else for that matter stepping up to back Ukraine on their own. It will be a Georgia or Crimea all over again.
