Two men who allegedly tried to hijack a plane in China's restive Xinjiang region have died, state media report. The Global Times said the men, from the Uighur minority group, died in hospital of injuries sustained trying to break into the plane's cockpit.

Its just common sense

The reality is much of the muslim world knows nothing much about the uighur situation, or at most think its some sort of law and order situation

Muslims are spread right across the world and in large numbers if a sense of PEOPLE X are oppressing muslims (whether it be sri lankans, myanmar, chinese) anger/racism can get directed towards people of those back grounds


So if the situation in lets say sri lanka stays on the fringes of the news then it wont be too much of an issue, but if it becomes highlited then a sri lankan person can get hate or racism directed in him anywhere there are muslims and they upon finding out about his back ground become inclined to do anything


The chinese are involved in business in alot of places, if the news about the uighur stays on the fringes (like it is for the moment) then its ok, if it becomes more or highlited then everyone from chinese tourists to chinese workers could face problems in a number of locations because they are percieved to be enemies
