Hi,

Realistically the position of Paf is beyond hopeless----it is pathetic---and that is no sugar coating.

Either it is BLK2 or it is BLK 3---it still needs full integration--I do not know if you understand that concept yet---even though it has been addressed---you have yet to changed your thought process---.

So---keeping that in mind---an aircraft is needed that can fill some of the issues that pak military has---ie the shortage of front line aircraft---.

JF 17 is a long ways away from taking up the Flanks---which means facing the current enemy---.

In its current form---it would do wonderfully in Nigeria--because over there it is needed mostly for ground strikes---.

Funds earned from defense export are not enough---.

@wanglaokan is right in suggesting---Paf shpuld lease 3 sqdrn's of the J10B's-C's----. Paf should have done it 2 years ago---and they would not have been in this miserable condition that they are in now.

For the record, I completely agree we need a 4.5+ gen aircraft for medium term. But I am NOT willing to compromise by accepting 4 gen that is at end of life.

And unlike you, I have full trust in the professionalism, dedication, and vision of PAF officers and leaders. If this is non-existent as you say, then putting M2K9 in their hands is simply a very costly blunder. We should be talking about signing the defeat treaty.

That is very nice of you. But maybe if you can get an Australian degree, you will get permanent residence here and you can bring your parents as well. There are many, many Chinese here so you won't feel you are far away from home.

I think most of the conversations are pure speculations , as the source is not confirmed

The only thing real we have is confirmed JF17 Thunders joining our Fleet soon , Block 2 standard and MOU with France on classified enhancements

Publicly available information says the French MoU is for high temperature electrical harnesses. This should increase the operational time of RD93 and hopefully engine doesn't need to be sent back to Russia.

In order to enhance engine life span, you have apply ceramic coating on the blade. That's what we do now. With France/ China technical support , I strongly convinced that the life span of RD93 could improve significantly. WS13 E is keeping involving. for example, if China/Pakistan wanna export JF17 to a country doesn't have very good relationship with Russia, we may apply WS13E on it. Means JF17 has two power system for back up.

8-) Too early to say any discussion took place for Mirage 2000-9, will only jump up and down once an official announcement comes

If anything materializes great however , main waiting is for official Block 3 JF17 Thunders in 2017

If there was any Urgency we could always approach China for J-11 or J10B

JF-17 Thunder Block 2 (Completion)
JF-17 Thunder Block 3 (Awaited arrival)

While the source looks interesting , however the botomline is really when Pakistan Airforce would officially announce a decision on Mirage 2000-9

Would not make sense for UAE to get rid of their Mirage fleet , specially since they have no alternative plane lined up

I am eagerly waiting for completion of WS13. Is there any news on how far the project has progressed and what hurdles it is currently facing?

I'm telling you a good news, WS13E is now massively produced! Date back to year 2005, when China signed a 100 units of RD93 engine with Russia, there is a restricted term on the contracts said China must get permission from Russia before it can export RD93 to a third countries! If, I say if, Saudi wanna buy JF17 and they don't like Russians, what we should do? Just using WS13E! There are two types of WS13 , one is called WS13A( no after burner for Lijian UAV). Another is called WS13E for both JF17 blk3 and FC31.

WOW!!! That is HUGE! I wonder why official channels are so tight lipped about all of this???????

From now on, no matter Russia happy or not, as long as China and Pakistan agree, we can do business. For example, Azerbaijian.

Every fellow Chinese member knows it, you can affirm with any of them. The recent FC31 block 2 is under test with WS13E, that's why we didn't see it as smoky as RD93.

The future export version of FC31 will install WS13SEP with FADEC, no more RD93. We can't install a smoky engine in a stealthy fighter.

Officially report released at June year 2016.

Janes report f31 new prototype first flight but did not mention new engine how could they miss such a big news ???

Only few unofficial web site spoke of new engine . Were there any mention of new engine by Chinese offi ials ???

PAF doesn't need M-2000s or even EF-2000/Rafaels as PAF is getting FC-31s soon that will carry similar engines like JF-17s has. JF-17s and FC-31 will be like a backbone for PAF.

Hi,

You are out again with those comments. What do you mean by end of life---. You heard some fools use those comments and decided to use them as well without looking at the production date.

Then you conveniently forget into your own backyard---you know about this aircraft Mirage 3 / 5's---do you know how long has its production been stopped.

Did you know when the M2K9's were manufactured---and other upgrade to the 2000-9 standards.

The Mirage 2k9's are similar in performance to F16 BLK52's that we have---.

I am eagerly waiting for completion of WS13. Is there any news on how far the project has progressed and what hurdles it is currently facing?

Hi,

I am surprised that you did not know that the ws13 was flying for awhile.

This is pretty sure by Chinese source, as sure as Kirshmir is a indispensable part of Pakistan.
