UAE and France sign deal for 80 Rafale fighter jets

Their airplane can't achieve air superiority on our southern border.
Also if they attack our population centers then their desalination planets will turn into legitimate targets . So it be better for them to stay away from population centers .

I don't see any of this happening.. But just hypothetically speaking I think both will go for population centers tho if it were to happen wars are ugly in general. Tho I don't see it happening as both sides have zero interest in it

There are many secret deals in the contract of 80 fighters at once.. one of them is certainly the French nEUROn .. It was a UAE condition in the 2018 negotiations..

LOL....

The UAE is literally an ant infront of Iran. 10 minutes of IRanian missile showers and the whole country ceases to exist. a sinlge missle in dubai will send every single foreigner running for airports and the sea to get out.

where the hell is the UAE going to hide these planes? they have 0 strategic depth, and are a relatively flat country. They are target practise for missile saturation....

these rafaels might be useful in killing unarmed civilians such as in yemen... The UAE is nothing in front of Iran.

UAE-Israel relations are progressing in a very positive direction. UAE funds have been continuing their strategic investments in many companies in the European defense industry for a while. In parallel with this, there are important infrastructure works in the country and they employ researchers and qualified personnel from all over the world.

It is a fact that UAE is taking firm steps towards becoming a powerhouse for the defense industry in the Arab world. With these big contracts, France will deepen its place and importance in the UAE defense industry.

One of the biggest delulu post

You don't even understand how conventional wars are fought thinking freaking missiles would end someone or win conflict is just juvenile.. First they have a layerd defense systems if anything gets throw is per minimum.. They have air superiority over the Hormuz and over the Iranian skylines. They could take out all the ADS within an hour and flatline Tehren into rubble.. UAE is Sparta for reason it bags an incredible punch. They are just way better armed and has better tech.. You don't have much and the fact that you think missiles can do anything for you is laughable.. What destroy just one building and then expect to call it a day? You will be showered and cities will be flatlined after your ADS is taken out.. It is like pinning you to the ground and folding your arms together and tying them once that occurs you know how this is gonna go... You will probably reply how are they gonna take my ADS out within an hour yada yada!!! or flat-out denial that they can't do that but the truth is they can take your ADS within an hour and can do that easy

Does Dassault and the French government care about end user modifying the Rafale to use non-French weaponry?
It depends of the supplier and the interface needed between Rafale weapon system and the new weapon.
Ex : A russian air to air medium range missile will not be fitted (need to share the data link : too sensible).
A Israeli wepon more easily (it's the SPICE case).
A Nato country weapon easily.
It was rumored that ASTRA will be integrated (maybe only the item with the indian seeker). True, not true... I don't know.

No customer can without permission integrate a foreign weapon on Rafale : without the french government & DA agreement, there are software locks to avoid it !
Was it not agreed that the French will buy back th3 M2K9s from the UAEAF? I do remember reading this somewhere.
A
No. It was a UAE request in 2011, but the deal was never inked.
The then sell price of these M2000-9 was also too high.

The problem is if one missile fall on UAE then the money will dry up.
UAE follow an economic model that rely on peace one stability in case of war it will collapse . The problem is not weapon . It's that they can't afford war.

Oh so all those weapons development is pretty much useless, 1 missile and the country is destroyed, that it?

No when missile fall those foreign investment won't be there anymore and nobody going to use UAE as a commercial hub in middle east so they do anything to stay away from anyconflict that can reach them

The missile analogy is one of the hilarious fallacies on PDF full stop perhaps the biggest:rofl:

stockpile of ammuniti

Sir, you are reading too much into my statement, and going to extreme conclusions.

UAE, has positioned itself as a neutral financial hub, and would like to maintain a degree of independence, via diplomatic and military means.

As to "better than Rafale", they are invested in Su-75 for a reason....?
Su-75 isn't better than Rafale, According to the chief executive of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, the LTS ‘Checkmate’ Fighter Jet is expected to cost US $25-30 million each lol. Very cheap .

Export version of Scalp: over 135 nmi (250 km range). This is less than half the range of the normal missile.
They have their own cruise missile under development with 480km range under development set for integration on the Mirages.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that extends to the Rafales.

“Over the next 15 to 20 years, maybe as few as 10, we will be in a position where we can rely on UAE engineers in most areas of guided weapons,” he says.
