Senior U.S. officials are beginning to explore proposals for punishing or demanding financial compensation from China for its handling of the coronaviruspandemic, according to four senior administration officials with knowledge of internal planning.

The move could splinter already strained relations between the two superpowers at a perilous moment for the global economy.

blaming china for the pandemic when trump himself was resisting closure of USA and was planning to lift it after easter (mid april), considering USA knew about it in november and still didn't take any precautionary measures and was infact one of the principal super spreader around the world including pakistan as many COVID patients came from USA, unscreened which triggered the spread.
