Well in the 40s, USA could build one of its best carriers(at the time) in an year. Considering the technological advance meanwhile, one year is still the timeline I think is feasible. The only problem might be the nuclear reactor. Btw it is intersting to note that USS Franklin carried same number of aircraft(90) as Nimitz(granted that the aircraft today are more heavier than ever). So we are just looking at a time shift.

When US was on war-footing during WW2, they were making ships in weeks. Considering the technological advance its possible that they could build a carrier in a year or less if they want to.

There is an irony here ....
Israel may be extremely well developed as compared to Iran,
USA may be very well equipped as compared to Iran

BUT

Iran is a huge country, no amount of carpet bombing can flatten it out.
Whereas Israel is a small country, and the only country for Jews (whose population isn't much anyway).

Thus a retaliatory attack, as primitive as it might be, if it reaches Israel, then Israel will loose.

KSA going nuclear is misinformation. Pentagon already confirmed that Israel canceled, not USA. Israel is now probing for a weakness. If it finds a weakness where it can deal a punishing blow to Iran's technological and industrial base with air strikes, then it will go for it.

The main reason for Israel going for its own strike is because Obama doesn't want an economic upset in his election year.

Maybe before Israel finds a weakness in Iran, Turkey will instigate a indirect war against Syria using the rebels. The rebels already hold a small stretch of mountain territory in the Western mountainous border! Turkey could use this as a pretext to create no fly zones. Taking out Syria would deal a blow to Iran.
