Way too early to say sanctions won't work. OTH, the Israelis may be impatient. I think the US Presidential elections are going to figiure in as Obama seeks a foreign crisis to rally "the Nation" to his side. Don't change horses in "mid (war) stream" will be the mantra for October.....

Israel wont attack, thats absolutely obvious. Its just a pressure tool to US and others to increase sanctions on Iran, thats it. If anyone could attack Iran, its US, and they cant afford this war either.

Frankly I have never heard of assymetrical naval or air victories or may be I am weak in history.

These guys think that just because they threw up the word 'asymmetrical' it mean they know what they are talking about.

Yea, right. And, if the putt-putt boats were ever to do that, the entire Iranian coastal military infrastructure would be obliterated within a few hours afterwards. That's what I call "asymmetrical".

Iranians are tough now because we haven't blow the **** out of them. our ships are gonna cross the strait and so what? send their tiny speed boats to stop us?? how funny is that? If they did destroy one of the carriers(which they don't even have the capacity to do so), that means a full-scale of war with the U.S. For those of you who think the U.S can not afford this war, don't be silly. The question is not whether the U.S can afford the war, but whether the Iranians have the guts to block the strait.
