1- US have no authority over sovereign states. All EU conducted business with Iran. India was granted special permission. China doubled it's trade, Even companies under US influence could trade after written permission from US.
2- US did not allowed Turkey export helis to Pakistan... but same like Pakistan, Iran have Chiana /Russia /Ukrine /India.. etc. as alternative suppliers.

Its under control of Russians and they have made some sort of security agreements with Israelis and Americans. We cannot count on their help in this very case, Syria will have own air defense network after Iran deploys Bavar-373 in the country and most importantly after dealing with Foreign so called revolutionaries of ISIS and Qaeda. It might Take time but it won't spare any Israeli and American plane even if Israelis Launch missiles from Lebanese airspace.

How is this a war hawk mentality? A US military base was attacked by Iranian backed militias and resulted in Americans being injured.

US has set a red line where if Americans are injured/killed they will retaliate. Obama also did this.

What makes Biden different is he isn’t going to go assassinate a general on foreign soil, he will keep it in the realm of normal proxy warfare.

But US has to respond to aggressive acts because China and Russia are watching. It is standard deterrence warfare.

A war hawk (I.e. every American option but Trump) will stay and fight no matter what the enemy throws at it. Trump would make a cost-benefit analysis and decide in certain situations that it isn't worth the cost of American men and materiel to fight this battle militarily, as he tried to do on several occasions before being beaten down by the real policy makers in USA.
