The source in China mentioned that Type-076 will be one hell of a LHA.

The ship will has a displacement of over 60,000 or more tonnes, the largest LHA in the world, even larger than most CVs saved for the super carriers.

And the LHA will equip with EMALS and all advanced UCAVs, very exciting development.

12-13 years ago was 2007. Chinese GDP per capita reached 7000 USD. India GDP per capita today?

India today has a single semiconductor fab that is still producing 1980's level chips. India does not have an independent e-commerce, search, telecom equipment, smartphone or semiconductor supplier.

"Just 12-13 years back" you had almost equivalent GDP to Saudi Arabia. Just 14-15 years back you had almosequivalent GDP to Thailand. GDP especially in this globalized world is not an universal gauge of strategic competitiveness. Ten billion Hindus starving on the streets wont set up site on Mars any time soon. You are not going to become something that can stop China outside of your dreams by just inflating your GDP.

076s would only get better with time. They can be in the future the launch platform for (fighter jets linked with) drones to coordinate attacks. They can even take a missile hit during air to air combat. There is many things drones can be used for in the future.

Main purpose is carrying amphibious warfare for shore invasion.

Second purpose is ASW with helicopters.

Third is drone attacks/use. Nobody cares when they lose a drone, when they lose fighters, it is news.

Italy has a carrier dedicated to Harrier Jets, these are attack/CAS planes. Not meant for air to air combat. UAVs/drones serve this purpose with no risk to pilots. China can even develop drones that can fire long range air to air missiles.

I'm sorry buddy but I didn't quite get what you were saying, are you saying you think the Type 076 won't be able to launch manned fighters? Or are you saying it will launch both manned fighters in addition to drones and that these drones will be networked/linked with the manned fighter?
