Pakistan army denies Indian claim on LoC firing

Pakistan army on Tuesday denied Indian statement that Pakistani troops crossed into Indian-held Kashmir and ambushed an Army patrol party, killing its two soldiers.

“Pakistan military officials deny Indian allegation of unprovoked firing,” a Pakistani military official said.

Indian officials earlier said the attack took place along the Line of Control (LoC), which divides the two countries in the disputed Kashmir region, when Pakistanis came about 100 metres into Indian-occupied Kashmir and assaulted the patrol party.

Pakistani army dismissed the charges and described as propaganda.

“It looks Indian propaganda to divert attention of world of Sunday raid on a Pakistani post by Indian troops in which a Pakistani soldier was killed,” the Pakistani military official said.

The Indian statement came just two days after Pakistan said that its one soldier was killed and another injured in firing by the Indian forces in zad Kashmir on Sunday.

The Pakistani army said that Indian troops had crossed LoC in Haji Pir Sector in Bagh district and raided a Pakistani check post.

Pakistan and India had declared ceasefire along the LoC in November 2003. Guns had been relatively silent since then, however border forces some time trade fire.

Pakistan and India have fought three wars, two over Kashmir, since their independence in 1947.

Relations between the nuclear-armed countries, which had been deteriorated after the 2008 Mumbai attacks, have improved in over the past few years.

The recent LoC clashes have raised concerns in the world and several friendly countries have urged both arch-rivals to show restraint.

I still find it hard to believe that a uniformed guy would do this. I have spent 18 years on that border and my family still lives there... This is the FIRST time I have ever heard of this. Soldiers don't do that kinda stuff. It is below them. and trust me, i really hope and pray that I am right on this one. It would be a big shame otherwise...

I am pointing to the impending unemployment of elements of the LeT and likewise.. along with their handlers.
Handlers that find their funding cut and purpose diminished.

Sorry to say,,,, I will probably get a infraction but..... Humara Fauji maray to nanga naach karty ho tum log by saying PA was lying,, they were trying to push militants in to kashmir aur apna maray to Magar mach kay ansu dikhatay ho by saying PA mutilated their corps and blah blah wah!

You would believe your side of the story and we would believe ours. So this blame game will never come to an end. As an Indian i am outraged at this incident. And whoever has done it deserves the same treatment. I am behaving in exactly the way you did when one of your soldiers got killed. Introspect yourself first rather than lecturing others.

Yep. I still suspect that.

I live on that freaking border (where the homes are beyond the border fence, literally) and i find it too difficult to believe that a solider would chop another soldiers head and carry it with him. That is Talibanesque not soldierish.

Though, you will appreciate, there is nothing called as unemployed in terrorism. Govt. jumps over to give em jobs. All you have to do is 'declare' that you are 'surrendering', instead of 'unemployed' on your facebook page.
