True but "Azeri" is a Soviet construct. In Iran Turks self identify as Turks, Iranian Turks, Azerbaijani Turks. Even the Qashqai refer to themselves as Turks.

Old Russian empire censuses even used Azerbaijani "Tatar", probably because Russia's contact with Turkic people's was mostly with the Tatars. Since then the Soviets promoted the statist "Azeri or Azerbaijani" identity over an ethnic Turk identity.
Iran still recognises their Turk identity and they are usually called Turks of Iran or Azerbaijani Turks.

For the bolded... No they do not recognise, that is why they use ''Azeri'' instead of Turk in tune with other oppressive assimilation policies, as the video shortly proves.

In short, We should wholeheartedly take care of Turks of South Azerbaijan, as they do in the video.

The thing is whenever there people scream you see western media rushing to their propaganda, this situation made them believe that they can solve all their problems by screaming and crying, see Kirkuk, and if it doesnt work they become violent.
