SOM with Kale turbo-jet motor (More powerfull than French equivalent) is expected to reach max. 500km. Close prototype motor is introduced in IDEF 2013.

Backside Turbojet (3,6Kn) (without propeller) is belongs to SOM cruise missile...

The real game challenger variant will be revealed When Turbo-fan equivalent of motors are integrated on SOM's. Land based SOM cruise missiles with Tubofan engines would reach max. 2500km range.

If you reduce to warhead weight it can reach to 500 km as well.

It is industries' target, not Erdogan. Erdogan just says Yes or Not for governmental funds. Comprehensive Feasibility activities of Turkish institutes regarding cruise missile technology in Turkey indicates a green light to develop such a strategic system which is carried more than 200kg warhead up to 2500km range precisiously... but Development of a New engine type/integration of foreign engine as stogap until domestic equivalent become operational, is vital. Why does not turkey finish the national car engine first? After several years the Ford echotorq car engine is not used in any platform that shows turkey has a lot to do before unveiling another mock up for turbojet.
