Guys what do you think about this truck design for KASIRGA missiles ?.. I love this guy's models.... They are not official... And as you see it is based on FNSS SAMUR & has 8 launchers...

Important thing is that what will be advantages of Samur ? because both trucks are wheeled and armour not important, Samur must be more costy than normal trucks, so i think army wouldn't be interesting.

If Army requests a common vehicle family for missiles and rockets, maybe Samur can be considered by army, so we can develope it for missile/rocket truck family.

I think this kind of trucks (including radar trucks, comman & control trucks etc.) should have armour because war concept is changed... Nowadays there are both conventional & asimetric warfares... So all of our systems should have armour against asimetric warfare... This is just my opinion, i don't know what you think...

If we have enough budget why not more protection is good allways but if being trucks are enough i think we shouldn't change them.

It looks like samur and M270 MLRS had a 6 month premature baby that came out with umbilical cord wrapped around it's neck.

Samur alone weight about 36 Tonnes, I don't how much will it weight by full Load ? A armored Truck is a better Solution than redesign Samur to an MLRS launcher Platform ! It is also important to deploy an MLRS System easyly by Air !

But 36 tonnes is with the bridge parts... You will remove them and you will add launchers...

I dont think you can protect these with armor,only by jamming or other counter measures(laser weapons etc)

I read that they launched from ship from antalya to konya distance about 300km....

Not ship. From a fighter plane 2 missiles launched in that exercise. 1 for this bus in Konya from a plane . 1 for a sea target in antalya bay. A politician who is not related in this subject and shortbriefed one, talled people wrong story.
