Junghans Defence and Roketsan Expand Partnership on Fuze Design and Production

Junghans Defence (Junghans Microtech Germany and Junghans T2M France) and Roketsan have expanded their global partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in EUROSATORY 2016 Defence and Security Exhibition to provide new co-developed fuze systems to the global defence markets.

Junghans and Roketsan are excited to be working closely on a broad technology collaboration partnership. As demonstrated by this MOU, Junghans and Roketsan are looking to build sustainable, long-term partnerships with the ultimate goal of bringing the best quality, the safest and reliable fuzing systems to munitions manufacturers in defence markets.

Combining Junghans’s comprehensive expertise, specialized background in the domain of fuzing technologies with the Roketsan’s acquired knowledge, experience and infrastructure for rocket / missile fuze systems, Junghans and Roketsan aimed to meet fuze requirements of the munition manufacturers in Turkey, France, Germany and International Markets with the solutions achieved by the help of innovative approaches, modern technologies and required effort.

I believe Thales is going to be providing laser proximity sensor for HISAR family of ground to air missile.

Just for information !

(AF)-SOM-J : 180km (It is selected by LockhedMartin as the main stand off missile of F-35 JSF program against Norwegian JSM program)

(AF)-SOM A-B1-B2 : max. 300km
(AF)-SOM-ER : 500+km
(AF)-Gezgin LACM : 1000+km (Booster + turbojet)
(Navy)-Atmaca SSM : 250km

Regarding your Post HvKK will use plan to induct Cruise Missiles for Long Range Strategic Strikes, but there is no real proper Plattform in Air Force Invertory which is capable to deliver them. I can only imagine F-4E/2020 is Capable to carry them, but not more than two ! This mean you need 10 F-4 + Tanker Aircraft to reach the Firepower of one B-52 ! Other option is to use A-400M or C-130 as Cruise Missile Trucks, with the lack of stealth and penetration Capabillity !

I have a question I see some media materials and videos that says SOM will be with 2500km range is that true?

Roketsan markets new Tiger surface-to-surface rocket
Miroslav Gyürösi, Budapest - IHS Jane's Missiles & Rockets
28 June 2016
Turkey's missile house Roketsan has released a new 300 mm calibre surface-to-surface rocket solution, designated 'Tiger' for the international market.

Development of the Tiger started at the end of 2011, with qualification completed in late 2015, according to Roketsan officials.

The Tiger rocket is 5.25 m in length, with a launch weight of 585 kg. Roketsan officials quote the range of the system as being between 30 km and 120 km, with an effective circular error probable (CEP) of "less than 50 m". Company representatives told IHS Jane's that Tiger achieved "an average precision of less than 10 m" during qualification firing trials.

Powered by composite solid propellant rocket motor, Tiger's flight trajectory is corrected by four electro-mechanically actuated aerodynamic surfaces located in the nose of missile, with navigation delivered by a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) inertial guidance package.

Tiger features a 105 kg high-explosive and steel ball blast fragmentation warhead, equipped with 50 kg of explosives with a lethal radius of 60 m.

Designated locally as Kaplan (Turkish translation), Tiger was developed for the T-122/300 6x6 high-mobility multi-calibre/multi-barrel rocket launch system, which can launch both 122 mm and 300 mm calibre rockets. Roketsan has developed new smaller diameter composite transporting and launch tubes for the missile, indicating that the stabiliser fins are folded inside the tube.

What is the difference between Tiger 300mm with KASIRGA-G?
THX for answers.

Turkey had intentions to develop some long range ballistic missiles (2 500km) so how are things developing with this program? I guess it's probably a secret program but do you guys have have any info or at least expectations about how are things going, what is achieved so far, and what are the future plans?
