Turkish heavy class attack helicopter (10t) will be most capable one in Middle East and Europe

.
belly mounted radar isn't going to have a clear field of view in the forward hemisphere, as both the gun and the landing gear will obscure its forward field of view.

Mounting it above the rotor hub in a mast or in the nose cone makes a lot more sense.

In order to determine the most suitable location of the radar on heli in accordance to operational requirements of Turkish Army, I think Engineers have done enough field tests with mildar prototypes. Each location has its own plus and minus.

Wait - you are right about Middle East. But Europe? What about Mi-28 and Ka-52?

What is the wrong with mi-28 ? Some news revealed about cancellation of Mi-28 program by Russian government. Is it true?

"Turkish heavy class attack helicopter (10t) will be most capable one in Middle East and Europe"
His Questions is probably, is the new TR heavy attack Helicopter more capable than the Mi-28 and Ka-52.

. . . . . .
Not yet, but I'll translate. The beginning of the video is about what TA (Turkish Aerospace) has been doing in the near term (i.e. realized projects). Then you get the flashy text (bigger better yada yada), after that the new heli pops up, here's the translation ;

  • HOGE capability (hover outside of ground effect), 6000 feet in 35c @MTOW
  • Crew, 2 pilots
  • Arsenal capacity 1200kg (not including launchers)
  • Operation envelope, between -40 / +50 C day and night
  • Ballistic protection, armored against 12,7mm rounds
  • Basic Equipment:
    • 4 axis autopilot
    • Modular avionic architecture
    • Target detection radar
    • Target detection system
    • Imaging system embedded into the helmet
  • Service ceiling 20.000 feet
  • Top speed (VNE) 172kts
  • Weapon systems
    • 30mm cannon
    • 6 wing station
      • 2.75" unguided rocket
      • 2,75" guided rocket
      • Anti tank missile
      • A2A missile
Other stuff from what @cabatli_53 mentioned (not included in this video) ;
  • DIRCM Infrared counter measure system
  • Mildar MMW radar
  • 30mm cannon with buried munition box
  • 3 weapon station on each wing
  • 360 degree electronic warfare counter measure systems (HEHSIS) buried into fuselage
  • 16 Long range ATGM carriage capacity
  • Heavy armor protection (Cockpit protection against 12,7mm)
  • 10 t MTOW (T-129 Atak : 5t MTOW)
  • Transmission and engine from another Turkish helicopter project, meaning it will be locally designed and produced (no chance of sanctions on that, ha!)
What I'm wondering is the A2A missiles, if this is going to be ready in 5 or so years, that means that the Turkish Bozdoğan missile family will be used here. Pakistan will love this, it's everything she wants and non of it can be sanctioned. Loving everything about this project so far.

BTW I'm not sure if this is going to be called the ATAK-2, as this is a different class (heavy attack). You don't abandon light attack helicopters because you have heavy ones - they exist side by side, like a car and pick up truck.

So I'm guessing this will have a different name, and ATAK-2 will be reserved for a future re-design of our light helicopters.

I m very happy my heart filled with joy i love you "Turkey"

Still building regular helicopters? The U.S. is already developing a whole family of tilt rotor aircraft to replace their AH-64, Black Hawk, Chinook by 2030. You're saying your helicopter Is going to be in service for 10 years as regular helicopters are becoming obsolete in comparison to tilt rotors which can offer performance near that of the C-130. You guys really need think about starting work right now on Tilt rotor aircraft because it is a necessity for the future.

Which one is pak getting turkish bros

Unfortunately it's delayed because of the US-Turkish tension. Hopefully Pakistan gets all contracted helicopters ASAP, but the Pakistan order could be 5 more years due to needing a replacement engine.
