Turkish defense giant expands operations in Asia
ANKARA- Anadolu Agency

Turkish defense giant Aselsan has signed a new agreement with Kazakhstan for its remotely operated stabilized weapon platform (SARP), boosting its operations in Central Asia, the firm said on April 20.

The defense firm's remotely operated weapon platforms are installed in 20 different countries, it said in a press release.

Aselsan and its subsidiary in Kazakhstan (Kazakhstan ASELSAN Engineering or KAE) aim to step up its production capacity in order to meet the country's military and civilian needs at a maximum level, the statement added.

Aselsan is active in military and civil telecommunications, as well as radar, electronic warfare, defense, weapons, command control, and navigation systems.

It is the largest defense company in Turkey, and among the top 100 defense companies globally.

From my wiev our armies most important problems is ;


+ Lack of modern battle tanks. We have only 160-165 M-60TM FIRAT battle survival tank which can protect his own crew from modern tank ammo's and anti tank missiles. We have 335-340 Leopard 2a4 but they need reactive armor and active, passive protection support for survive in the battle enviroment.

+ Lack of modern infantry fighting vehicle. We need min. 1000 ifv for now. Just because modern armies generally have x2 times more ifv than modern tanks. (leo 2a4 + sabra amount). And more important than numbers our ifv must have passive protection + coaxial atgm launcher. İfv's generally work with tanks in battlefields. İf we want our ifvs not gonna be bait for tanks they must need a weapon againts tanks in face to face battle.

+ Our navy needs Air defence Frigates. But we must wait to 2030-2035 for 2-4 Tf-2000. We need stop-gap . East-Med is a warm. Also our navy ships ar have old hulls and must be retire esspecially yavuz's . İf we use milgems like a asuw frigate for behalf of old also we needs a Asw Corvettes who smaller and lighter and cheaper than milgems.

+ Also we need a air superiority figters and Bobardment aircrafts behalf of F-4's .

+ Also we need air defence systems but this problems not gonne be got it with modernization.


My Modernizatiıon Solutions ;

1- As I know we modernize all Sabra's to M-60 Fırat without Pulat APS, but we are modernazing Sabra's with M-60TM Fırat project with Pulat Aps this project is ongoing. But also we are making leopard 2a4 modernization program. But as I know this modernization have a very heavy armour package. This is affecting other process. We can just modernize leo 2a4's Fırat Passive protection package + Pulat Aps+ angled reactive armor plates. İn in the end we can have 450-500 Battle Survival tank for until Altay.

2- Also we need İfv's , we cant be spen more money for new ifv's we have 600 acv-300's they have modernization program but not have a enough numbers. We must modernize 600 acv300 with new aselsan 20 mm turret with passive protection package + 2x Omtas/tow launcher for againts tanks. Also we can modernize +400 acv-s with this turret + passive protection package + 2x coaxial atgm launcher. And in the end we can have 1000 bradley level ifv can be fight with our 500 modern tank . (M-60TM Fırat + Leopard 2TM)

3- With Barbaros Mlu Program Our Barbaros's have a enough radar complex for operate a long range air defence missiles like aster-30/Siper level. They have a enough space the aft fore vls replacement 16 to 32 or also he can enough space on the front behalf of ciws for 8x vls. So if we buy aster-30 or done siper , we can deploy hims to barbaros mlu's until 2035's 4x tf-2000 enter the service. This ships will be good stop gap light air defence frigates with 32x G-40 + 16x Siper (24 Vls = 16 aft 8 front) or 48x G-40 + 20 Siper (32 Vls = All of aft.)

4- Also we can replace milgems aft ram with 16x vls . 32x Hisar-A + 32x G-40 enough for this ship also stamp's and 76mm cannon have air defence capability. Dont forget one of the best corvettes of the world protect himself only 16x mica vls. Hisar-a 's verg agile and good missile's also same for g-40's with this movement we can use Milgems asuw frigates until all fleet turning modern local made navy with all i class, tf-2000, tf-100's. With this way we can pull 4x yavuz or 4x gabya to storage.

For behalf of 4x milgem we can make 4-8x Yonca Onuk's new Light corvettes with ASW mission Package. Advantage of that is this new corvettes more like corvette than milgems, cheap , and can buildable by without naval shipyards and bigger private shipyard . İn this process naval shipyards must be build a tf-2000 and privates must be build serial İ class frigates.

And a side note if we can intagrate gezgins or som naval versions to Reis class . İt would be great for us. We can use 6 Reis class like longe range aip and 8 Type 209 like Fleet Submarine. Like britsh's use vanguard's like long range attack and astute's like fleet submarine. Type 214's have a longer range reach usa and they can pass mediterranien in submerged mode, if we place him torpedo tube launched and nuclear, biological and chemical warhead carriable gezign missile without our nuclear warhead capability it will be effect like a ssbn for us.

5- We cant take F-35's our F-4's old. Also we need air superiorty fighter. But we must spend most of our budget to MMU. We have a good option for that. F-16 Block 30's best agile and dogfightable version of the F-16's due his climb rate and thrust/weight. İf we complete özgür project and aesa project we have good stop gap fighters. Just because he have good manevraubility and if we put him Wide angeled sensored aim-9x or bozdoğan aa with joint helmet mounted system it will superb in short range and also if we put him aesa radar + bozdoğan/c-7 or meteor (özgür's mission computer local and we want use meteor on mmu why not we place him to f-16's) it would be great on long range bvr. Also with ehpo he can resist againts bvr missiles and last one if we put him cft (maybe we can design and add him ) we can increase his max bvr's to 6x and 2x iir short range. İt would be very great beast.

Also we can use 30 (two fleet) F-16 block 50+ with aselsan radar for long range deep strike missions with his greater range . And also we pass +40 block 40 with özgür + aesa project for air superiorty . Other F-16 block 40 and 50's with aselsan radar (block 70 level like others) can be usable for mid range bombardment missions and multirole missions . On the other hand we can fill the gap of the f-16s who we speacilise for f-4 missions , we can produce hürjets behalf of it. Hürjets with ej-2000, aesa radar, Joint helmet mounted system and +1 pylon for extra ehpod's and maybe cfts would be great for soft missions of F-16's if we produce 40-60x Combat Hürjet it would be great.

6- Also we must complete Baykar mius with stealth ram engined stealth body and internal weapon bay wich can carry 1x som or 1x mk-84 hgk or 2x kgk or 2x amraam or gökdoğan bvr. And also he will be aesa radar for aa bvr combat. He can be launch from anadolu and land with help of hook cables. İf they dont launch also we can use ww2 style cable catapults for hims.
With help of Baykar Mius we will have stealth aa,sead and deep strike capabilities and we will give a another option for anadolu behalf of F-35b.

İn the and this projects isn't hard like tf-2000, MMU, Altay's but life savers. Without that stop-gaps we cant secure our interest in syria , east med and libya. Just because ;

+ We cant operate tanks in syria without modernization
+ We cant locate fleets to mediterranian without air defence frigate with secure.
+ We cant fight in libya without air coverage of lhd or air defence frigates

etc.
