I mainly open this thread because I'm hungry

Rather then generic, best known dishes of the countries I would like to see more regional, family stuff.

A quick start, my home city's small native restaurants are famous with their Köfte and Piyaz combination.

Köfte

Piyaz, its contains Tahini, white beans, onion, tomatoe, boiled eggs, lemon juice etc. its not looks that attractive, but its tastes good

And finishing move, Tahinli Kabak Tatlısı(pumpkin desert with Tahin)

Piyaz means onions in Urdu. Where are the onions? I don't see them??

Piyaz means white beans in turkish.

No it doesn't means white beans, its only used as the name of dish, its indeed originally means onion in Persian.
