we have to see what kind of sanctions and how hard they going to enforce it they can sanction Turkey but look away at the same time , the point is Turkey is way too important for US's Iran strategy they counting on Turkey hard, on air force and bases and advance equipments and radars to monitor Iran they can not and will not lose Turkey if they want to control Iran if they piss off Turkey one wrong move and Iran will become more powerful then anyone one of them can handle, yes in that case Turkey will suffer a lot and i mean a lot but Iran will not care.

Turkey reverse engineered Kornet missile bought from Russia and supplied thousands of these to NLF. Turkey cannot reverse engineer S-400 by itself. Turkey will have to send S-400 to America to reverse engineer it and then mass produce it to shoot Russians in Syria with S-400.

Hmm...idk about that, don't think the sanctions will be severe. But, it will be interesting to see how Turkey responds.

Only S500 will be better. Dont listen to russophobes.

But even this genial decision for Turkish military will come into question,becouse it will alienate Turkey from Western camp.
If I was born as turkish citizen I would prefer less advanced patriot then S400, only for diplomatic reasons. But thats why Turks are different from Arabs, they still have great power identity and dont want to bow to the stronger power.
Time will tell.

Every thread should have some merits atleast . This person opened this thread and made some comments which are nothing but ' gibberish ' . But many are commenting only for the subject of the thread , not for the merits of the thread . MODs should look after these threads .

Remember , American systems have ' kill switch ' , so whenever US wants they can make it ineffective . So if at any case a fight between Turkey and Greece or Israel or any European country , these sustems will be useless .

Nobody have proved a kill switch, despite having access to the software and hardware of several platforms. Additionally, if the kill switch really is a thing, I would bet my money on that software-based Russian systems (e.g. S400) likewise will have kill switches.

I thought Israel's Arrow missile could not prevent the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's 250 KG Badr-3 rockets/missiles in the recent battle in Gaza.

Or it could be that it was the Iron Dome that was supposed to handle rockets, and Arrow is designed for ballistic missiles.

During 2015 conflicts for 50 days rockets were launched from Gaza to Tel Aviv but caused zero damage all were intercepted by Iron Dome.

By the way, S-300 aka S-400 was never tested against any ballistic missile. Only vs. artillery rockets.
