Turkey S-400 SAM delivered today from Russia

Nobody have proved a kill switch, despite having access to the software and hardware of several platforms. Additionally, if the kill switch really is a thing, I would bet my money on that software-based Russian systems (e.g. S400) likewise will have kill switches.
Russia din't add this feature to their systems but America did . It is well known American ADs will not work against American or NATO fighters .

Some kid wrote it. But if you check the source of this number u wil get this link:

https://bmpd.livejournal.com/3317512.html

Which says that max altitude is 30 km and there is no any 185.

In order to hit targets in space u need a special space kill vehicle.

S-400 does not have anything like this. Its just regular atmospheric missile.

we have to see what kind of sanctions and how hard they going to enforce it they can sanction Turkey but look away at the same time , the point is Turkey is way too important for US's Iran strategy they counting on Turkey hard, on air force and bases and advance equipments and radars to monitor Iran they can not and will not lose Turkey if they want to control Iran if they piss off Turkey one wrong move and Iran will become more powerful then anyone one of them can handle, yes in that case Turkey will suffer a lot and i mean a lot but Iran will not care.
Turkey doesnt really want to support US's intentions and actions towards Iran though....

.
Looks like US crossed TUrkey's redline with the FEtullah Gulen coup attempt. smh. I think Turkey has a point. Turkey cant be in NATO, and US tries to do a coup in Turkey.

ISTANBUL — President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has marked the anniversary of a failed coup against him every passing year — this week was the third — with a national holiday that has turned the traumatic event into a celebration of Turkish nationalism.

But this year, Mr. Erdogan had even more to cheer about, as he flaunted an extra-special symbol of national pride, the S-400 missile defense system that had just arrived from Russia.

“As long as we, as a nation, protect our homeland, our flag, the call for prayer, democracy and the state,” he declared at a ceremony at Ataturk Airport Monday, “God willing, no power’s hand will be able to reach them.”

Over his 17 years in power, Mr. Erdogan has tried to recast Turkey as a stronger, more independent actor on the international stage, one that in his view can vie toe to toe with powers like China, Russia, the European Union and the United States.

“Washington must give up the misguided notion that our relationship can be asymmetrical and come to terms with the fact that Turkey has alternatives,” Mr. Erdogan wrote in an opinion article in The New York Times last year.

“Failure to reverse this trend of unilateralism and disrespect will require us to start looking for new friends and allies,” he added.

[What is the S-400?]

The United States has strenuously opposed Turkey’s purchase of the S-400 system, declaring it incompatible with NATO systems, and is expected to announce sanctions against Turkey as early as this week.

sink the Turkish lira last year — another instance in which Mr. Erdogan saw an American attempt to undermine him — Mr. Putin is talking trade.

Turkish jet shot down a Russian jet that veered into Turkish airspace in November 2015, the event underscored the seeming distance between Russia and Turkey.

The Russian jet was on a bombing mission in support of the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad. Turkey, along with the United States, was backing the rebels who were being bombed.

But Russia’s intervention in Syria turned the war in Mr. Assad’s favor, and American support melted away. If anything, Washington began cooperating with Kurdish militias in northeastern Syria that Turkey considers a threat.

Mr. Putin has now brought Mr. Erdogan into his efforts to wind down the war, his so-called Astana process, along with President Hassan Rouhani of Iran.

Together they have established cease-fire zones in Syria to de-escalate the violence and allowed Turkey to establish areas of control in northern Syria to stem the tide of refugees pouring into the country.

But it was Mr. Putin’s treatment of Mr. Erdogan after the failed coup that was a critical turning point, said Soner Cagaptay, director of the Turkish Research Program at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.

“The coup changed Putin’s calculus,” he said. The Russian leader called Mr. Erdogan the day after the coup and invited him to Russia. Two weeks after the coup, he hosted Mr. Erdogan at a tsarist palace in St. Petersburg. The S-400s came up in their discussion.

“Putin may have seen that the trauma was so deep,” Mr. Cagaptay said, whereas Washington waited four days before it declared sympathy over the coup, and then it was not President Obama who called but Secretary of State John F. Kerry.

“If things had been handled earlier, it would not have happened,” Ahmet Han, a professor of international relations at Altinbas University in Istanbul, said of the S-400 deal.

“Turkey’s decision makers are jubilant about the receipt” of the S-400s, he added, “but no one is really happy except the Russian lobby.”

I think turkey want s400 for time of threats of west when they want to make their nuks
Correct. Specifically, Turkey seems to want S400 to prevent US/West from using Turkish air force for another possible coup attempt. Gulen's coup attempt involved good # of airforce pilots and officers collaborating against Erdogan's govt. that coup was crazy, its amazing Erdogan survived it.

There is nothing that could interest America about S-400.
SO you're saying S400 is basically old S300 US has already had and trained with before right?

Then why did US and Israelstop military aircraft flights over parts of Syria covered by the S400 after Russia turned it on years ago in the Syrian civil war?

.
S-400 is not a very good ABM. However supposedly is good at old air defence role with huge Radars to monitor enemy airspace.

.
S-300PM appeared in 1982 (37 years ago). All systems since then are minor modifications: S-300PM1, S-300PM2, S-300PM3 aka S-400.
HOw can you say the S300s have been "minor " modifications when the S400 for ex can track and attack considerably more targets than the older S300 models? ALso, if S400 is just "slightly better than s300" then why doesnt Russia just sell it to any interested party ? why does Russia only sell it to special customers? it doesnt make sense. you're selling lies with your overgeneralizations and oversimplifications.

During 2015 conflicts for 50 days rockets were launched from Gaza to Tel Aviv but caused zero damage all were intercepted by Iron Dome.
But how did Gaza perform within the past 2 years till now? Obiously Gaza has better, more accurate and lethal rockets now so we all know there was damage. You systematically hide and lie about info that makes Israel look bad, vulnerable or weak.

By the way, S-300 aka S-400 was never tested against any ballistic missile. Only vs. artillery rockets.
Then let IDF ask Russian military to do a test. You are here lying to all of us again about S400s. you tell us its old S300, but if thats so then why are western militaries afraid of it?

Nothing has stopped. Israel destroyed targets right near the S-400.

Processor power improved since 1982, so it can truck more targets. Not a big deal.

Name is one country Russia refused to sell it. They even give it for free now, for example to Assad.

I think soon they will start paying just that someone will take their SAMs

Israel only continued airstrikes AFTER Russia confirmed to Israel that it wouldnt shoot down any fighter jets. After the Il-20 incident and Russia turned S400s on, Israel didnt fly near or under them for a while. In summary, only Russia's mercy saves IDF aircrafts from S400s. case closed! dont argue!

ha ha ,,,so Russians didnt improve other technologies or related research for 30 years? you love to overlook skills and capabilities of adversaries, i hope US didnt teach u that.

Iran.

Name 1 country they gave S400s to for free. No, Russia has not given Assad S400. stop lying. Russia only gave Asssad S300s, and even in that case, Russia controls its use! thats why they havent shot down IDF planes.

No Israel bombed as always. After Russian S-400 shot down their own Il-20 they started bitching at Israel. But Israel told them: we will keep bombing when we will need. And Russians had to swallow it.

If u check Russian Soyuz rocket from 1970-es and modern then they added some new electronics etc. But overall its same rocket. Same goes with S-300.

Russia ‘ready to deliver S-400 to Iran,’ no request made yet

https://www.presstv.com/Detail/2019/06/28/599649/Russia-Iran-S400

So its the opposite: Russia tells to Iran: take, take, take our S-400 and Iran says meh.

Russia gave Assad S-300PMU2 for free, which is basically same as S-400.

More over Russia gives Assad billions of $ and sends its soldiers to die for Assad. So basically Russia pays Assad so he take their S-300PMU2 aka S-400.

to be honnest Rusia and S-300 or S-400 is somehow like USA and F-16, they are ready to sell it to anybody who want it

Russia, US and China are consistent in one thing with weapon sales- they dont sell just anything to anybody, because that could have all sorts of implications, even for their own security or army. We can even see China has given Iran AD technology and manpower, but China didnt transfer(at least visibly) Chinese AD systems to Iran. Look at S300 and Russia's sale to Iran- Russia's delay was intentional and in cooperation with UNSC members (US and CHina especially).

.
It’s not about S-400s or F-35s!!! It’s about freedom!!!

Free at last, free at last....
