ISTANBUL, Turkey Feb 22, 2008 (AP) ABC News: Turkey Launches Ground Operation in Iraq

Turkish troops launched a ground incursion across the border into Iraq in pursuit of Kurdish rebels, the military said Friday.

The ground operation started after Turkish warplanes and artillery bombed suspected rebel targets on Thursday, the military said on its Web site.

"After the successful bombing, a cross-border ground incursion backed by the Air Force started at 1900 (Noon EST)" on Thursday, it said.

Iraqi situation will be more complex.

Reportedly Turkey's military has sent 10,000 troops into northern Iraq in a land offensive against Kurdish PKK guerrillas based there.

One word: the ordinary people are all hijacked by motivated war-lords/politic-lords.
